Nothing was really bad. I'm in my 60's, so I was raised with customer service. No one ignored me, but check in was blah, no expression of gratitude for my choosing Peppermill. No staff ever really acknowledged me other than maybe a smile or a head nod. And, with automated checkout, I didn't receive any kind of thank you.
In short, I felt like a ho-hum customer, not a "guest" in the hotel. Everything was just transactional.
I realize all of this is because I'm old. Anyone younger than a probably 50 doesn't even know what I'm talking about and thinks I'm just some old geezer.
