We stayed at Mandalay Bay expecting a fun family getaway, but it turned into a nightmare. My son woke up covered in 100+ bed bug bites — yes, you read that right. It was horrifying. The room itself was filthy: stained couches, dirty linens, and overall just not cleaned to any basic standard of hygiene.
To make matters worse, the air conditioning wasn’t working — and this was during a heatwave with temps soaring over 110 degrees. We were sweating all night in a room that felt like an oven.
The toilet had plumbing issues, and the bathroom door didn’t even lock, which is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that claims to be a resort.
We specifically chose Mandalay Bay for its pools, which are supposed to be a highlight. But guess what? Two of the pools were closed — in the middle of summer!
Customer service? Absolutely horrible. They were indifferent, unhelpful, and made no effort to make things right.
This was not just a bad stay — it was an infuriating and disgusting experience. We will never stay here again and would strongly warn others to think twice before booking.
