Excellence Playa Mujeres - Adults Only All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The property is stunning, but what really stood out was the staff- every single person we interacted with was warm, helpful, and genuinely happy to accommodate anything we needed. They went above and beyond with a smile every time.
The food was incredible — honestly, next level. From caviar to tomahawk steak, everything was beautifully done and felt very high-end.
That said, there are a couple of things I wish I’d known before going:
This is 100% a couples hotel. If you’re single or going with friends, it’s not the right vibe. Everything about the place screams honeymoon or anniversary.
The bathroom setup has zero privacy. The shower has a window that looks directly into the room, the shower door is clear, and there’s no actual door separating the toilet or bathroom area from the rest of the room. It’s fine for couples, but if you’re not super comfortable with the people you’re staying with, this could be awkward.
Overall, it was a beautiful stay and I’d recommend it to couples who want a romantic, luxury experience. Just not the best fit if you’re going solo or with friends."
Hyatt Vivid Grand Island Cancun Adults Only All-Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"Hyatt Vivid Grand Island Cancun was absolutely unforgettable! The resort offers a perfect mix of relaxation and fun, with a daily lineup of activities that kept us entertained from morning to night. From poker nights to pool and beach volleyball, aquaerobics, and lot more - there was never a dull moment.
A huge shoutout to Orlando and Caesar, who led most of these activities with such enthusiasm and energy. They made every game feel like a party and created a welcoming, fun environment for all guests to join in. Whether we were playing volleyball or just chatting poolside, they made us feel like VIPs.
The food was also outstanding, with plenty of variety and flavor - but Oshii, the Japanese restaurant, was by far my favorite with a beautiful rooftop view, My wife's favorite was Le Lys, the French restaurant. The flavors, presentation, and atmosphere were top-notch.
Overall, this resort checks every box for an amazing vacation - fun activities, incredible staff, and delicious dining. We can't wait to come back!"
