We checked into the RIU Republica on Friday and stayed until Tuesday morning. Overall, the waitstaff and housekeeping team were friendly and helpful. However, some members of the front desk and restaurant staff were rude and unaccommodating.
One notable issue was the lack of washcloths during our entire stay—we had to use hand towels for showers, which was inconvenient. On a positive note, the room was clean, and the housekeeping staff did a great job meeting our requests and restocking the mini bar when asked.
It’s also worth noting that this resort caters more to a younger adult crowd and party-goers. We were hoping for a relaxing getaway and an opportunity to immerse ourselves in the local culture, which we fortunately found through the excursions we booked outside the resort.
While the stay wasn’t entirely unpleasant, it also wasn’t the best experience. If I return to the area in the future, I would likely choose a different resort that aligns more with the type of vacation I’m looking for.
