Not worth the price.
We stayed here after a long camping trip and were excited for some luxury to complete our stay. Upon arrival the whole hotel floor was being redone and smelled like chemicals. The hallways are not pictured in the site, but everything is white with fluorescent white lighting, and that’s it. It felt like we were walking to our room in a jail cell. The rooms are good size, with everything you need for basics. But again, Sterol feeling with no artwork and one color. Beds were very firm old spring loaded and would tip to one side if you got too far to one side of the bed. After sleeping on an air mattress camping for a week, we felt we slept better in a tent. The welcome and comfort factor was not the comfort we were expecting. However in the daylight we found the short walk to the beach and the great food and shops was what made up for it. But definitely didn’t feel worth the price to get taken out of paradise as soon as you walk into the hotel.

Honeymoon at Hotel Sheldon
Hotel Sheldon is perfectly nestled along the Hollywood Boardwalk, offering an unbeatable beachfront location. For the final night of our honeymoon, my husband and I stayed in an ocean-view king room, which was spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean. The view was stunning, though the windows were a bit dirty and difficult to see through when closed, and we couldn’t quite figure out how to open them, which was a little frustrating. One unexpected surprise was the lobby being under construction, which we weren’t informed about beforehand. The disarray was a bit jarring, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Despite that, we would absolutely stay here again for the incredible beach access, complimentary chairs and towels, and the comfort of our room. We look forward to returning in the future and seeing the completed renovations, which will hopefully enhance the overall first impression of the hotel.

VERY DISAPPOINTED PLACE WAS A DISASTER
The lobby was completely torn apart for remodeling. The outdoor area was a mess with the furniture all over the place. We stay here often but I think we are looking for a different place next time to stay.

Great Place to stay!!
Amazing location, newly renovated, spacious and clean room, great amenities such as coffee maker, microwave, fridge and safe! Patricia, staff at the reception desk, was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Hotel Sheldon.

Great place to enjoy the beach.
The bed was wonderful. The view was incredible! It was difficult to find out where to check in. Parking was a trek due to weather. There was mold on the ceiling above the shower. The bath ceiling had been repaired many times. Beware! The hot water in the shower is scalding hot! Nice closet space, room came with 2 chairs and an umbrella for the beach. It was mid 40’s and misting rain. No beach time! Available restaurants were way overpriced!

Wonderful- except for one thing
The hotel has an excellent location, right on the beach. Staff are friendly and competent. Beach chairs, towels and umbrella are provided. Good value for the area. Only problem was the incredibly loud music from the yogurt store. It made opening our front window an unpleasant experience. If you don’t mind ear-splitting music all day from 10am to 12pm, this is a great place. Not for us, which is a shame since everything else was wonderful

Great location for a short stay
Didn’t get the best of rooms. Situated above air conditioning equipment. Sound was irritating to say the least. Didn’t get the best of sleep. As was the noise from the reception area. Hotel was also getting painted inside . Only there for two nights so just put up with it. Suggest that if your booking , ask for a higher floor. We were on the 2nd floor. Hotel is in a great location right on the beach. Friendly staff were the provide beach towels and deck chairs. Would still recommend, I’m sure this hotel will do better !

Perfect location with fantastic views
Hotel was undergoing a renovation in the lobby, so it looked like a mini construction zone, but did not diminish the excellent service and location this hotel has to offer. We had a room overlooking the ocean and the only issue we noticed (and it wasn't that big of a deal) was it can be a little noisy if there are crowds on the broadwalk. Although, that location also makes it great for views and people watching. Will definitely stay here next time we visit.
