Reserved a KING got 2 fulls =not good!
I reserved a King and was given 2 full size beds. When I brought it to their attention they said it was the same price so no price adjustment but I want a King bed none was offered.

OK but not impressed
Stayed in a handicapped room (although didn't need one). The light switch for the bathroom was behind the door on outside. So you had to close the bathroom door and turn the light on, then open the door to do into bathroom. Doesn't make sense in a regular room and especially not a handicapped room. Bed was very comfortable and room clean and nice. Friendly staff. There "breakfast included" was misleading. It was a "bag to go". Tiny orange, tiny granola bar and bottle of water. With all the hype we seen online, we were disappointed. It was in January, so maybe it's better in warmer weather.

Horrible Hotel
DO NOT STAY HERE. Rooms are not as advertised. Stuck in unrebovatwd building. Cleanliness and condition are questionable. No hot tub as advertised. Water $3 a bottle. Undrinkable coffee $3. Hard Croissant $3. Woman at counter is “not all there” - rude and offensive. This is a horrible place and no one there seems to care. Think twice.

Came to swim with the manatees
Chose to stay here as we were coming to swim with the manatees and they had a company on site so we also chose to use them. The newly renovated rooms were nice. We had a little problem with our first room and they happily moved us. There are restaurants very close by also

Nice clean rooms
Room was very nice and clean. Area was easy in and out. Main desk service was very slow, phone rings and goes to reservation answering machine. This was not helpful at all. Garbage trucks going by in the morning, very loud.

Great location and price. It was our second stay to float the Spring and find manatees. Hotel lobby was clean, welcoming, and provided lots of information and activities about the town. We stayed in the room with a kitchenette. The beds were uncomfortable and noisy and the kitchenette is not fully stocked with basics for cooking and cleaning. Hot tub was not working.

great deal and location!
Great place overall, particularly the location. They were recovering from the hurricane but still had everything in good order. The "breakfast" was just a paper bag with a granola bar and a mini muffin. We didn't catch that the beds were full size instead of queens- a bit small for 4 of us but we probably just missed that when booking. Overall this was a great deal.

Best place to stay for our Manatee tour!
My partner and I stayed at Paddletail Waterfront Lodge. We looked all over the area and it was the perfect choice nearby our manatee tour. The location was fantastic—just a short drive or walk to the marina where the tours depart. We loved that we didn’t have to rush in the morning! Yvette was very friendly and was efficient checking us in. The hotel itself was clean, quiet, and cozy. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a great view of the nearby waterways. The staff was incredibly friendly and even gave us some tips on the best local spots for dinner after our tour. The breakfast was a highlight—lots of fresh options to fuel us for the day ahead. Plus, the hotel had a coffee bar, which made everything even more convenient. We’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay while exploring the beauty of the area. We’ll definitely be back for another manatee adventure and another stay at the Paddletail.

Not as Expected
The website for this hotel calls it a "stay 'n play" resort. While I was not expecting luxury, there is nothing about this property that feels like a resort. It is a basic hotel, with basic rooms, and a small pool area with a hot tub that was not working. The Wifi in our room was also not working during our entire 4-night stay. If you Google this place, you will find that it used to be a Best Western, and that is definitely still the vibe. It's also a bit of a stretch to call it a "waterfront" lodge. While some of the property does extend to the water, the main part of the hotel and the majority of the rooms are not even close to waterfront. I booked this place thinking that it would be somewhere where we could hang out and enjoy some amenities, but there is literally nothing on site. There's not even really a nice place to sit and enjoy a view of the bay. To be fair, the hotel is centrally located in Crystal River, and you can walk to some restaurants and to the downtown. Beyond that, however, I would not recommend this place. It's possible that in the future, once it is fully renovated, it will be something more akin to a resort. For now, sadly, it is very much not. When we were checking out, the woman at the desk, whose name tag identified her as some sort of manager, asked how our stay had been. I told her that the Wifi had been out the whole time and my sister thought she'd been bitten by bed bugs. The woman replied only this, "Expedia will send you your receipt."
