This hotel is very modern and new. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Balcony pool was great on a very hot and humid day. We were saddened by the properties perimeter as there was a lot of construction debris from what appears to have been thrown off the building during construction.

It’s a great modern hotel without the big price tag. Also continently located away from traffic and noise. It’s a 7 min drive to the beach front restaurants. Other than the lack of service, I.e. daily cleaning/ turning the rooms, it was a great experience. We’ll be back and stay there again.

Superbe hôtel qui a ouvert ses portes en décembre 2025 environ. Pas complètement terminée mais ça promets. Pour l’instant il manque le gym. Les suites avec terrasse sur le toit avec piscine privée sont magnifiques. Il y a une belle piscine centrale au complexe. Ça prend quand même un transport pour se rendre à la plage (5 minutes environ) et les accès doivent malheureusement se faire par les Beach club… donc $$$. Vous pouvez louer 4 roues, vélo et scooter directement à l’hôtel à prix raisonnable. Le personnel a répondu à toutes nos questions, facilement rejoignable et ils sont toujours là pour aider. On voulait pas chercher alors ils se sont aussi occupé de notre transport aller retour pour l’aéroport de Tulum à environ 45 minutes de l’hôtel pour 1800 pesos. Merci à toute l’équipe et pour la phase 2 qui sera un bâtiment miroir à celui-ci avec restaurants. L’endroit est calme. Stephanie et Sébastien Canada

Ghost hotel

The hotel is situated so isolated that it almost feel unsafe. The reception is only staffed until 7pm and no amenities, services, food, minibar or anything. My room had a roof top pool, but it was not able to lock the door to the roof, and the door between the room next door (from the roof) was not locked either. Basically the room next door could walk freely into my room and vice versa. Not safe.

I absolutely loved my stay at Otonomus! From the moment I walked in, everyone was so warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I had such a wonderful experience at Otonomus in Tulum. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking — surrounded by lush jungle, it’s incredibly peaceful, calm, and quiet, making it the perfect escape from the noise of everyday life. This aparthotel is absolutely beautiful! We stayed in a 1 bedroom with private rooftop pool and sea view and we were not disappointed. My children used our private pool and the property pool everyday. It was nice coming back to a place big enough for a family of four. We had a balcony to just sit and relax on which was separate from the beautiful rooftop balcony that had our private pool! It is a fairly new property, so it was extremely clean and well-kept. It was also nice to have the front desk responding to our needs so quickly. The 3 staff we encountered were all very nice and helpful. Just a heads up though — although it is not a far walk from the beach/hotel zone, there are no sidewalks to walk on the narrow road, making it a not-so-safe walk. We ended up taking a taxi everywhere, which quickly added up as they are quite expensive. All in all, we would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to our friends!

I had to stay for one night in Tulum before heading to Cancun, so I gave Otonomus Tulum at try. I simply loved everything about this place especially that it gives Tulum vibe with a modern touch. The unit is spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. The concierge was super friendly and helpful; he even helped me book my transportation the next day to Cancun. Highly recommended!

I carefully read earlier reviews of this property before booking. Upon check-in I discussed previous issues with the friendly staff. Basically all of the issues were non-existent or resolved. This place is brand new and clean. There was Koh a single bug in the room and if ever I needed something the staff was there to provide it for me. The room has everything including a fully equipped kitchen. The location is ideal. It is a short walk to beautiful beaches. So you have the perks of spending you entire day there, while you stay at a much more affordable and comfortable hotel. I would highly recommend staying here.
