Nice but noisy hiway traffic during the night.
Room was beside Hiway 2, so hiway traffic made it quite noisy all night long. But the in room gas fireplace was very nice, overall nice room. Very clean.

Did not honour the room rate I pre-booked.
I booked a room on hotels.ca for $74.70 + $6.73 for a total of $81.43 on March 11. On March 14 at check-in I was charged $98 plus $8.82 levy + gst for a total of $106.82. I am not impressed. I was told increasing the room rates was standard practise by the woman working the desk on Saturday morning. I explained I had pre-booked the room. She said you move people to more expensive rooms sometimes and there was nothing she could do. I will make it my mission in life to bad-mouth your motel at every event and market I attend in Red Deer (40+ events per year). I hope it was worth the $25 you stole from me and my small business.

Great hotel but loud noise from highway.
Hotel was wonderful and desk staff were so helpful and kind. My only issue was the highway noise, not sure if it’s bad throughout the property, we were in room 2003 and could hear the highway LOUD all night. So didn’t get a lot of sleep. Otherwise this is a good hotel and would stay again requesting to stay on the back side of property :)

Negative
First of all the front desk clerk was not dressed professionally and as he mismannerly rifled through 10 or so papers said he couldn't find our reservation. I showed my confirmation email and after about 10 minutes he found it. The Room We were given the key cards then proceeded to walk all the way to the other side of the hotel before we found our room. Now there is an outside access door that he could have told us about so that we could've driven our car around to park. Inside the room was freezing, the floor was tiled and no heat. My husband fiddled with the base heater but it just didn't seem to want to warm up. Well an hour and a half later we called the front desk and he showed up right away and turned a different switch. It warmed up a bit more but still unsatisfactory. Checkout was fantastic other than very low staffed so we had to wait 1/2hr.

Always a great spot for a rest, refresh.
Phenomenal staff, great location, will be back again, hopefully for 2-4 weeks at a time. All the front desk staff do so much for travelling folks having the time of their lives or doing what they can for weary souls, hearts and minds.

Unless u like cold and door codes Dont
Booked 2 rooms, was told I should not have been able to… got to the rooms no heat . Temp outside was -8 with windchill. Turned heat on , tile floor was ice berg cold . Code to main door entry didn’t work 3 times. Attendant was rude, because door code didn’t work.

i had an econo room. apart from the wall-mount A/C unit not being tarped over for the winter, my room was fine. no gas F/P in mine, sadly, but i was only staying one night so didn't try to move. the continental breakfast is just that---continental. i had a glass of OJ and an apple strudel and was on the road. then again, what do you expect for the cheapest rate advertised? good value. good access back onto Hwy #2.
