I knew this was a party resort but the non-stop music all over the resort was unbearable. The only place it was quiet was in the room. I would have expected it to be more low-key in the morning by the pool for instance. A bit surprised there are so many families with young kids due to the heavy drinking. One girl wasn’t able to walk in the middle of the afternoon and another was lead to his room by staff. Otherwise the staff, the resort premises as such were very nice.

Three Night Stay at Margaritaville Ft Myers Beach
Three night stay at Margaritaville didn't start on a great note. Booked two rooms for king beds, confirmed this at 2pm that same day since we were traveling and wouldn't get in until 11pm. Arrived to find out that we had a room with two double beds. Pretty disappointing. Was informed that since the reservation was booked using Hotels.com / Expedia we were "low on the priority list" and could be moved to a different room. The manager (Mel) was very nice and professional, but not a fan of that type of policy, especially after being confirmed that day earlier. We used the beach club and had great pool service and the food was good. We used to the License to Chill bar and had great service. Service at the outdoor cafe was okay. Somewhat slow and the breakfast food was not warm. All in all, I have traveled to several different resorts in Florida - Sanibel, Clearwater, Ft Lauderdale, South Beach, Naples, etc. I will probably pass on going back to Ft Myers Margaritaville.

Disappointed- promises not kept
Disappointed as many amenities were not stocked in our room and the floor was dirty. Valet lost our keys and also put us behind 30 mins. Was supposed to get a credit/refund for parking but that never happened. I also don’t see where we were supposed to be refunded the service fees on the room for the room that wasn’t ready for us. Disappointed to say the least, especially at nearly $400/night rate.

Weekend stay
Overall we had a nice stay for a long weekend as a couple. However, upon arrival at exactly their check in time of 4pm, our room was not ready. We were hoping to be able to change clothes (out of our winter attire as we’re from the Midwest) and freshen up before going for dinner. We were told we could change in the bathroom in the lobby. The lady who was assisting us when we arrived was super nice and apologetic. She did say that our room was upgraded but I honestly can’t confirm if our eventual room was better than it would have been originally. Oh, and we weren’t the only ones affected. There were other guests in the same situation of not having their room ready at check in time. The resort was not crowded by any means, so I’m not sure how they can handle having rooms ready when they are! The resort is beautiful and my favorite was the outside area with the fire pits. Despite being right above the street, when you’re there, you wouldn’t even know the cars are there, and you still see the beach. The pool area is nice but they are very strict. They do sell day passes to the public so it can be more crowded. I believe that Wednesdays are free access to people age 55+. We weren’t there for that but I bet that can get super busy. They do not allow any outside food or beverages in the pool area. If you bring a Stanley, Yeti, etc, they will hold it until you leave. They do have big water coolers with small plastic cups for water. They check bags as you go in. Loved the beach!!
