Kayla was my first point of contact when we checked in. She was super friendly, kind and answered all the questions I had at check in. The rooms were clean and spacious and every staff member I encountered was nice and helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and the breakfast in the morning was very good. Especially the coffee! We had an absolutely wonderful trip. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

Pretty nice place. Newly renovated, 1 black to the beach. Nothing fancy but super easy in and out and its awesome to always have a parking spot and not have to worry about it

I really had no problem with the hotel itself.. The staff was very nice. What I didn’t like at all was being charged $12 per night for the 4 night stay. I told the lady that checked me in that it was supposed to be $12 per stay. I pulled it up on the hotels.com website to show her. She told me to check with the supervisor the next day which I did. She did refund $36. If you book on Choice hotels which is the website for Surf and Sand it does say $12 per night. I really do not understand that or why there is even a parking fee there at all.

It’s a beach hotel, not far from the beach. Nice skatepark close by for the kids. Not as clean of a hotel as we’d hoped. Sofa had hair and stains. Shower wasn’t the cleanest nor were the beds. Beds were not that comfortable but nice enough place for one night.

Fantastic overnight stay just a short walk to the beach, and very close to a park, skate park and restaurant. Beautiful lobby with great seating for breakfast. I love that there were bikes and wagons available to use and included in the nightly cost. We will definitely be back.

Staff friendly, we were in a room that was close to a street and it was hard not to hear the traffic noise. Dispensers in the bathroom were empty, Breakfast was just okay. Be prepared to pay $12 a night for parking. Plumbing needs to be updated.

The room with 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa was nice and big for our family. The beds were so comfortable—I want this mattress! The location of the hotel is great if you want to walk to the beach. The breakfast was ok, but I wish there were more options. The staff was friendly.

We were unable to stay due to our daughter being admitted to the Children’s Hospital in Orlando the day of our arrival. I emailed them at noon (through Hotels.com) and asked if we could have a credit to return once she was discharged as we are from out of state and knew we would be going that direction soon. It’s been 2 days and we have yet to receive a return email or call (I left my number in the email to them). I know the policy is no refunds after a certain time frame. I was only asking for a credit with them to be used within the next few days.

Not really sure what all the bad reviews are about. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, it matched the pictures, and the location is amazing. One thing I didn't see the reviews mention and was a surprise to me was that of there is a car show in town (which apparently is a regular occurrence), Surf and Sand allows the car show people to keep their car trailers hooked to their vehicle and take up too many spaces and block the entrances to their parking lot. This is an incredibly stupid decision.

We came into town on short notice to attend the Amelia Island concourse. This hotel was one of the few that had available rooms. It was also priced under the other hotels in the area so our expectations were not that high. We were surprised. The beds were very nice and very clean with soft sheets. The room was well kept. we had a minor problem with the air conditioner in the room, it would not heat. We told the front desk and they actually had the entire unit changed. It worked perfectly after that, it was brand new. This is what I call very good customer service. The location of this hotel was great. We would definitely stay there again. And we have stayed in places that cost 1000 a night.
