The room’s amenities were too old. The Wi-Fi would go out. My charger cord melted and I had to throw it away. The elevator, room, and main entrance all had a stinky smell (not the paint). Anyway the prices is reasonable!

Front desk is a customer’s first impression
Overall very nice place to stay. The woman at the front desk did not seem very helpful and we felt like she didn’t even want to check us in, just a very bad attitude. Later there was a gentleman behind the counter and he was very kind and very accommodating. The housekeeper were also very nice and helpful.

Tire old hotel
Tired old hotel. Many cracked and even sharp edged broken tiles in bathroom and entry of room. No dresser for clorhes. Shower takes 4-5 minutes to warm up and you have to have it all the way on hot to shower. I will not return to Emeral shores.

Nice view but condition of the hotel is bad
So I chose this hotel due to its rating thinking it was something it wasn’t. First off, the sheets didn’t fit the bed, the comforter was stained up and the girl at the counter said there weren’t anymore. The tile on the floor was cracked and cut my foot. There were a ton of dead flies in the light fixture, the smoke alarm was covered in plastic so if there was a fire it wouldn’t even have worked, the hallways smelled like stale cigarettes. The staff was very short and un bothered by the concerns! The ocean view was wonderful though! You can tell they are trying to bring the rooms up to be a bit nicer but it’s just very poorly done. My big concerns was the bugs in the light fixtures, cutting my foot in the busted tile and the dirty bedding! That’s just poor staffing that doesn’t care about there job! Which ultimately comes down to the owner. Maybe better training on how to properly dress a room for new guests.

Great Hotel
We had another great stay at the Emerald Shores Hotel. It's a great place to experience a get away at the Beach. South Daytona is a great area away from the crowds and parties. The Rooms are always clean and comfortable. The Staff are always friendly and helpful. The ocean view is amazing. We haven't tried their breakfast as we always eat breakfast at the Cracked Egg Dinner (Best Breakfast in Daytona) We are from central Florida, and stay here a few times a year. We always enjoy it. I'd Recommend this Hotel to anyone, but especially locals like us.

The view was beautiful and beds were very large but when we came front desk was not friendly at all and the whole stay no one greeted us from front desk . The security going down to beach and into hotel was broken and the pool heater was not functioning as well as there was no hot water we ran for 10 minutes hot water never came . Also the last night of our stay we were awakened at 420 am the people next door we’re having a fight there was screaming , things being thrown against walls they even tried coming through the connector door and was banging and slamming there side . It lasted til 540 the police were called and then there was crying and carrying on after and my kids had an important show the next morning . When I confronted the front desk in am all that was said was you must have been on the 6th floor . Again the views were great but the service and events that happened with no apology or anything very disappointing .

Great location…average room
Check in was smooth. The staff was very personable. The lobby and hallways were clean. Pool area was clean. The room I stayed in was…ok. Beds were comfy, and the floor was in good shape. The rest of the room was rough: not super clean, old tile, lampshades were yucky, the cabinet holding the fridge and microwave was old and not in good condition on the inside. The view was amazing, and the location is great! This place has a lot of potential!
