Great Boulangerie

I was on a father and son trip. The stay was ‘OK’. Pretty unremarkable. Service on the terrace was pretty slow. So much so that I gave up in the end. Aircon was inefficient. So room was a bit too warm for us. Even though we set it at 18 degrees it wouldn’t go below about 21.5. However the Boulangerie on site was superb. Great food and great coffee.

Did not enjoy our stay

We stayed a total of 5 nights here and sadly, I would not come back nor would I recommend this hotel. First of all, the photos on their website is extremely misleading. This is not a waterfront property. Once you book the lake view you will see a busy highway and a partial lake view. Secondly, customer service was terrible. The lady at the front desk could not have been any more rude for any requests made. And if you are a VIP access with hotels.com don’t bother, they will tell you that they don’t participate in any perks. Again, misleading. I did not love the location. They will charge you 30 euros per night for parking and I did not think the breakfast was worth 27 euros per adult. There are better options in the area for 700 euros a night which we ended up paying. The property is dated, not very clean and the pool is also not clean.

A Great Disappointment Despite the Potential

This hotel could be a real gem (its location is excellent), but it is managed extremely poorly, and my stay was filled with unnecessary frustrations. First, I was told well in advance that it was necessary to book a parking spot in their garage. I followed their instructions and even confirmed that my car was a few centimetres shorter than their stated maximum length. Yet, when I arrived, the assigned space was too small: my car didn’t fit fully inside, so I had to leave the garage door open with the rear of the car sticking out. Then came the dinner by the lake on August, 2nd. On the hotel’s advice, I booked as soon as reservations opened (in June!) on their website. Despite being one of the first to book, I discovered on arrival that they had taken other reservations beforehand. Instead of the promised front-row seating, my table was placed in the third row. Service was equally disappointing. Upon check-in, despite carrying luggage, no one offered assistance or to take my bags to the room. They simply handed me a luggage cart, leaving me to manage everything myself. The final blow came on the last day: when I went to retrieve my car, I found an insulting note accusing me of using someone else’s parking space — the same space the hotel had assigned me. Sadly, my overall experience was one of frustration rather than enjoyment, and I cannot recommend staying here until management and service standards improve dramatically.

Love Annecy

Very well situated to all the major attractions. Walking distance to everywhere. One can rent electrical bikes by booking ahead of time. They have a pool if one does not want to spend all day bathing in the lake, although the lake is refreshing to bath in. The beds are not too comfortable, a bit too hard and the pillows are definitely something I would change if I was the hotel owner.

Book today- perfect stay!

Loved Le Pelican! It is the perfect location to walk to old town Annecy, the lake, etc. The staff was so kind and friendly. The room was comfy and spacious. The breakfast was delicious. And we greatly appreciated the reusable water bottles and water fountains around the property.

Good hotel but expensive!

This is a well located hotel for The Old Town and the lake. The rooms are quite small but very pleasantly presented throughout. We had a few issues with the cleaning and these were eventually resolved albeit the Manager was quite officiest at reception. The breakfast is quite expensive given the price of the rooms, however, the bakery at reception is very good. We found the price of drinks to be expensive but the bar area is well located with great views across the lake.

Supert hotell for et opphold i Annecy

Dette hotellet var en meget positiv opplevelse. Enkel og god innsjekk samt fine familie suiter. Ekstra bra med et basseng på en varm sommerdag, selv om det kunne vært litt større. Flott utsikt til fjellene over innsjøen. Hit skal vi igjen.
