I prepaid for accommodations at Marriott Grande Vista and arrived with my legally disabled mother and four young children after giving two hours’ notice of our late arrival (9 PM). The assigned unit was uninhabitable: urine stains, food debris, dirty floors, and visible contamination.
After complaining, the manager admitted the issue and promised a full refund of the room and parking fees. Instead, we were moved to two separate fifth-floor units (far from the original booking terms) with no help moving our family or luggage, and Marriott has not honored the promised refund.
Their “solution” was offering discounted rates for a future stay, which does nothing to resolve the breach of contract and failure to deliver the service I paid for. I have photo evidence of the conditions and will be escalating this through corporate and regulatory channels.
I will not return, and I strongly caution others to reconsider before booking here.
