Not fancy but good place to relax.
booked Cocoa Beach Suites because it was just 10 minutes away from Port Canaveral, which made it a convenient place to stay before our cruise. Overall, the hotel was average in appearance but suited our needs for a one-night stay.
The biggest highlight of this hotel is its location—it’s excellent! There’s a Waffle House just a minute away, and plenty of shops and restaurants right across the street, making it easy to find food and other necessities.
As for the room, it was a suite with a separate living space and bedroom, which was a nice touch. However, the amenities were somewhat lacking. There was a sink and a refrigerator, but no dishes or silverware, which would have been helpful. Some of the appliances were outdated, and there were minor maintenance issues, like rust on a lamp and some carpet stains. That said, these weren’t deal-breakers for me. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was adequate—which is really all we needed for a short stay.
While the hotel isn’t fancy, it’s a solid choice for a budget-friendly overnight stay, especially before a cruise. I would stay here again, and I’d even consider bringing my kids since the space is convenient. For the price and location, it’s definitely worth it. Plus, the staff was great, which made the experience even better.
