Enjoyed our stay at this charming hotel

Whilst you could say the hotel could do with an update, this would detract from it’s wonderful charm and the feeling you get of enjoying a stay that you can imagine was similar to that enjoyed by the gentry of yesteryear. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and benefited from a stunning lake view.

This hotel stay was just what we needed in the midst of a busy travel schedule. The grounds are stunning and the hotel is out side of the city hustle and bustle. Nestled on the stunning lake with breathing views. The room we stayed in was large and spacious with a tub and balcony. This is a must stay in Killarney.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location with gorgeous views. Breakfast was fantastic and great musicians playing in the evenings. They also make great cocktails. We just had one evening meal there which was quite disappointing, chicken wings and seafood linguini were both very bland. We might have just got unlucky with our choice. Love the work the hotel is doing to be more sustainable, particularly replacing water in the rooms with water stations around the hotel. However, I was shocked and disappointed to see disposable coffee cups left out for guests to take from the restaurant after breakfast given Killarney is working so hard to replace disposal cups with keep cups. The only time I saw a disposable cup while in Killarney was around the hotel. Easy to solve, just have keep cups with a deposit for guests.

Amazing time at The Lake Hotel

I had an amazing time at The Lake Hotel! The room was the perfect size and the beds were very comfortable. We had a view of the lake and a beautiful sunset every night. It was in walking distance of the Killarney National Park and Muckross House. The city was a short drive from the hotel. Only thing is we did not have A/C in our room and it was hot during our stay. We had a fan but it did not make a difference. It was not supposed to be so warm during the time we were there but we were fortunate to have a beautiful week in Ireland.

Royalty on the lake

The property certainly gives the feel of royalty. Beautiful setting on the lake with a castle and mountain backdrop. Rooms, lounges and restaurant were all excellent. Can easily hike into the park and the city is 5 min away. Great breakfast and bar. Loved it.

The MVP of hotel was on the lake, apart from that there is no amenities, the pool charges you 20 euros for 1.5 hours and requires booking, the dining options are limited to 9:30 pm and there is no place outside built to have enjoy the property and view

The Lake Hotel is the loveliest stay I have ever had. It was my second time and it is a must stay whenever I will go to Ireland henceforth. The view was sensational, the room was luxurious, and the food and drinks were superb. Additionally, the staff was so accommodating and friendly.
