Totally Unacceptable / Completely Disappointed
Totally unacceptable! We tried to check in early, but the room was not ready. Understandable, and we were told that of the 2 available room types that we booked (2 bedroom, 2 bath Suite), that ours would be available soon. The young man at the desk (Josh) took my phone # and said he would call me when the Suite was ready. I checked my phone periodically all afternoon, but never received a call.
When we returned later that evening, well past check-in time, we were told that our room type was not available. The young woman at the desk (Kristin) was confused why we were told what we were told earlier in the day, stating that Josh should have recognized this? She did everything that she could in terms of making things 'right' with us. She booked us into two rooms, but they were not connecting, which defeats the whole purpose of our booking a Suite. She also went on to explain that often times 3rd Party Sites (such as Hotels.com) do not recognize the TRUE rooms inventory of what is actually available. I do not understand this!
When I booked the reservation, the Hotels.com website stated that there were 2 of this specific room type still available. I selected one of those available Suites.
