Upon arrival I observed broken glass next to 11 parking spaces at the side/rear of the property. The glass was located on the ground in an area that corresponds with the drivers side front window of a vehicle, which indicated to me, a police detective, that 11 cars had been burglarized recently… probably within hours of our arrival. This was clue #1 to stay away. Then we went inside to check in, and waited for approximately 45 minutes while the most unmotivated desk clerks in the history of the hotel industry casually took their time checking people in without a care in the world. When it was finally my turn I provided my info to the disgruntled clerk who mumbled “It ain’t ready” This is around 5pm. Check in time is 3pm. So at 5pm the room I reserved still “ain’t ready”. After checking in, we immediately left for a concert, and afterwards when we returned at around midnight we saw people lingering around the parking lot. I saw a guy wearing a shirt that said Security and asked told him about the broken glass and said that it looked like a bunch of cars had been broken into. He laughed and said “probably”. This was the guy who was supposed to be proving security. We went to our room, gathered our bags, and went to the front desk to check out. There was no clerk to be found. Security Guy had wandered inside and I advised him we needed to check out because I did not feel safe. He said he didn’t blame me, the clerk was “out” and said he could take our room keys. So we left.
