Everything in this hotel feels old — or, as one of the staff told us, “vintage.” That’s one way to put it. For example, flushing the toilet is basically a workout.
The phone in the room didn’t work the 1st day, so every time we needed something from reception, we had to go downstairs in person. And we had to do that a lot, since we ran into several issues that day including having to change rooms (our mistake).
The AC worked very randomly: even when we set it to the maximum temperature sometimes it blasted too cold while being extremely noisy. Sleeping comfortably was a challenge.
Noise was also a problem in general: the walls are thin, so we could hear everyone walking back to their rooms or talking in the room next to ours.
That said, the staff were very kind and helpful, and the location is truly amazing and close to everything.
