Do Better Front Desk

We booked one night for July 17, 2021. We were not greeted or acknowledged upon entry, because the guy at the front desk was on the phone with a customer. After nearly 5 minutes of us standing in front of the counter he said “I’ll be with y’all.” He continued to talk with the customer about religious matters; we then mentioned that that’s not good customer service. He shook his head as he ended the call and told us we would want the same courtesy if we were on the phone. We disagreed. He said she was booking 40 rooms as if we were less important. I suggested he apologize and that’s when the debate ended with his silence. Upon checkout our receipt showed a payment which was $60 less than what we were charged on Hotels.com. We called the hotel for an explanation and was told we’d receive a call back….still waiting.

We were checked into a room that wasn’t clean, they did give us another immediately. The shower floor had a long hair on the floor in the corner our entire stay which told me they didn’t clean the shower every day. They threw out my shower cap but didn’t provide another after cleaning the room. (Though I didn’t ask for another, but I shouldn’t have asked to). Noisy humming noise towards the back of the building every night. Cemetery in the front of the building.

Weekend stay

Overall it was a good experience. Breakfast offered the same choices for the 3 days I was there. Juice machine was broken all 3 days. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.

Not the nicest bathroom experience!

I have a few issues primarily surrounding the bathroom. They had three containers for dispensing shampoo, conditioner and soap. The entire time the soap dispenser was not refilled. The entire time the floor felt sticky, like it needed to be mopped.

This property is almost Brand New and it was immaculate for all those clean freaks out there :) The staff was super nice every day, especially the young lady who told us about the area and what was located nearby. We were close to no less than 10 outstanding dine-in restaurants and also fast food for those wanting something a little quicker. We were 10min if that from the motor speedway which was also super easy to get to. I will definitely stay here every time we come up to the motor speedway for races.
