The property advertisement was misleading. It was advertised as a guest house but in reality was a bedroom on the back of the owner’s living quarters. It had no shower and a bathtub my husband would have not been able to maneuver safely. The path to the back of the house was gravel through which I could not drag our luggage. The door to the suite was a patio door with keyed entry. It just didn’t meet our needs.

Ken and Michelle were great hosts. Ken gave us lots of advice on what we could do during our stay. The room and amenities were wonderful, it had such a homely feel. The upside to this property is its inbuilt kitchen and parking!

Our three night stay at the Cobblewood was so lovely!! Instructions on how to check in and check out were clear, the host introduced himself and gave us hiking/dining recommendations (all of which were perfect for us), and the house was clean. We stayed in the Golden Dawn suite and used the pull out bed provided. It was very comfy! There were no concerns with our stay. Highly recommend you stay here!

My family of 4 really enjoyed our stay. With 2 teenagers the space was needed. The street was on a quiet dead-end road, which we appreciated. The suite was clean and comfortable. There was a lot of room to spread out; my wife and I enjoyed a drink on the balcony most days. The location was perfect for us, but it depends what you are looking for. It was a very short walk to a small shopping area (Tacofino, Wildside Grill, an amazing ice cream store, a small convenience store, and others), a short walk to Mackenzie beach, and a little walk to the local brewery and a fish market. It was a longer walk (but easily doable) to town of you like to be in a be in a busier area, but the distance was perfect for us. The owner/manager, Ken, was very helpful. He ran into us a few times when we were walking and would check if we needed anything or needed any tips to enjoy the community. I would recommend for my friends and family.

Cobblewood Guest House in Tofino

Very quiet, comfortable and spacious 2 br, living room, kitchen and balcony in a beautiful yard surrounded by trees and birds. 5 min drive to beautiful beaches and downtown Tofino and harbour. Highly recommend

We had a great time staying here. Our room was upstairs and we had a Terrasse in front of our room. Also there was free coffee and the kitchen is fully equipped. The host is so nice! We got so many tips about what to do and what to see around tofino from him, that was really great! We would definitely come back.

Ken met us when we arrived. He showed us around and talked with us about the area and places we may want to visit. He was very cordial. Our suite was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. When we return to Tofino we will look to stay at Cobble Wood & Bird Sanctuary Guest Houses again.

I loved sitting out on the deck with morning coffee listening to the birds. The cabin had everything we needed and was comfortable. They were very helpful in suggesting hikes, places to visit and food to eat. I’d stay here again.

Beautifully presented property in a lovely location and only 10mins walk to the beach. Surf hire, Tacofino and grocery all within walking distance. Great and friendly hosts. Highly recommend

Tasteful, peaceful, comfortable. The building and suite were well appointed, providing everything we needed. Check in was seamless and the host walked us over and provided all the information we needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Cobble hill again.
