Excellent séjour! Chambre privée au top, bien décorée et bien équipée, avec une superbe vue sur le lac. Un peu bruyant le soir mais forcément, on est en plein centre ville, on ne peut pas tout avoir. Je recommande à 200%!

What a great surprise!

My 22-year-old daughter gets full credit for encouraging us to stay at this hostel. Since I remember hostels from the late 80s/early 90s, you can imagine my surprise to find something that was so similar to an actual hotel. (We had a private room with our own bathroom for the three of us, though the showers were across the hall and my husband liked the shower pressure better over there.) The location cannot be beat! I should really put that in all caps. Truly, the location is in the heart of everything, it is very safe, and we could not have been more pleased with our decision to stay there!! (Actually, it was our daughter's decision, but we're glad we played along!) We stayed on the first floor, but the ground floor had a lounge where people could hang out, and the second floor had a kitchen area where you could get free coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. There is a laundry facility right next-door, in case you need it. Again, everything was very clean. And I should note that my husband was very pleased after his first night's sleep there, because he said it was the best sleep he had in the 10 days we have been in New Zealand. (I also turned on a noise cancellation app that night. It is a bustling city after all. )

Can't beat the location, everything is literally in walking distance with the only need for a hire car for roaming, all the shuttles are the next street over for most activities and tours. We cracked it with free parking aswell which was close to accommodation. And views from the shared kitchen area are breathtaking. Clean accommodation, staff friendly with lots of advice.

Central e barato, mas não tão confortável

Se você é jovem, dorme tarde e dorme em quaisquer condições, talvez aqui funcione para você. Eu durmo cedo e foi bastante difícil dormir lá porque fiquei em um quarto no primeiro andar que ficava em frente à orla, com muito barulho dos bares e restaurantes ao redor até de madrugada. Precisei dormir de fone de ouvido na sexta e no sábado, o que foi bastante desconfortável. O banheiro privado é bem pequeno. A pia e o chuveiro são bem baixos. Apesar disso, os funcionários são bem solícitos, a cozinha coletiva é bem organizada, você pode deixar seus itens separados tanto em geladeira quanto em prateleiras. O hostel é absurdamente central e você consegue fazer tudo andando. Sendo assim, é mais interessante para quem NÃO está de carro, uma vez que o hostel fica no centro e é extremamente difícil estacionar em Queenstown. Fui em baixa temporada (abril) e já era péssimo. Imagino como fica pior para estacionar em alta temporada. Se estiver de carro, talvez faça mais sentido se hospedar em um local mais afastado do centro, porém maior e mais confortável por preço semelhante. Se estiver sem carro e precisar ficar em local central e barato, o Absoloot é uma boa opção.

Our family of three stayed in a private room with two bunk beds and private bath. Worked fine- clean and comfortable. Location was stellar, right downtown by the lake. Staff were helpful with local information, tour booking etc

Hotel was great hotels.com was awful

The location of the hotel, the accommodations themselves and the staff were beyond exemplary, but Hotels.com was deplorable in its functions or rather its inability to perform its obligation to its customers and the hotel itself. I was locked out because Hotels.com did not deliver. The message to hotel had sent me with special instructions being required for check-in after 9 PM when I contacted Hotels.com I wasted two hours on a chat with them while they’ve berated me for making the mistake insisting I had received a message that never arrived. I checked my messages and emails multiple times during this chat to no avail but both the customer service agent and their supervisor were not only an empathetic to my situation, but also downright rude and abusive when I stop by the hotel the following day the hotel informed me that this is typical of the platform that there are delays in the communication caused by hotels in the hotels does not allow direct communication between The host and the guest. Needless to say not only was my money wasted, but I was left without a place to stay that night because the remainder of the accommodations in town were full in summary stay here for its wonderful location and view, but book directly with the property and avoid using Hotels.com in general for future stays I certainly will be doing the same
