Wonderful! Recommended!

Our stay at the Aurora Hotel in the main building -- just 2 doors down from the lobby -- was extremely quiet and comfortable. We heard almost no footsteps from the workmen staying on the second floor and did not notice them leaving in the morning. Check in, with a pretty blonde lady, was delightful. She helped with places to eat and gently broke the news that the restaurant where I'd wanted to eat --with a fireplace --was closed. The fridge held 2 hardboiled eggs, tangerines, kids juice boxes, tubular yoghurt, and fruit stuffed bars. The lobby had tea, coffee, oatmeal, cider & chocolate mixes. Additionally, there were choice items for purchase at VERY reasonable prices. The room was huge, a welcome relief after 2 days in Fairbanks at "luxury" place which had the toilet paper near my armpit... And the lodge at Chena Hot Springs with no ability to control the temperature except by opening a window!

Sadly, despite high-expectations based on former reviews, the hotel had non-existent WIFI and thin-walls that did little to prevent me from hearing children screaming in the next room half the night. The hotel was very dated with a bathroom that was quite disappointing. The shower didn't drain, the toilet seat was worn and there was a black mold or mildew on the roof of shower. The only saving grace was that the hotel receptionist was friendly and did her best to accommodate us when our room was not ready at check-in.

Very pricey. Rooms are large. Coffee , refrigerator, and microwave in room. Front desk did not do a good job keeping up with coffee and supples for the guests. Bed was a little hard for my taste. Bathroom shower was squirting water on ceiling. Bathroom sink did not drain well. Paid for location, about 12 miles from Denali entrance.

Highly recommend comfort, clean and location

Check in was easy, it’s an older lodge, but the rooms are updated, large, and big window. Comfy beds. Coffee, fridge and microwave in the room. Grab extra k cups from the front desk if needed. There is a central living room that has several games/puzzles. We spent time there meeting other visitors. Location was exactly where it said, so easy to find. Healy was a good base, approx 11 miles from Denali Park. The Alaskan Bean Coffee shop is about a mile away, had breakfast there for great service and good food for a reasonable price (cheaper than Denali park prices). Great location to Diamond tours group (about 2 miles). I would recommend this lodge as a great location with comfortable and clean rooms. Hot water was great.

Vernünftige Unterkunft in der Nähe des Denali NP

Eine alles in allem vernünftige und saubere Unterkunft, die wir v.a. aufgrund des Preises ausgesucht haben. Alles , so wie man es erwartet, ohne dass uns die Lodge besonders in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Die „breakfast bowl“ mit einigen Kleinigkeiten ersetzt kein noch so schmalspuriges amerikanisches Frühstück, ist aber eine nette Geste. Wir würden wahrscheinlich wieder dort übernachten, da die Lodge, zwar auf einem extrem hohen Niveau aber dennoch für Alaska und den Denali akzeptables Preis-Leistungs-Niveau bietet.
