Disappointing Stay at Candlewood Suites — A Series of Avoidable Failures
My recent one-night stay at Candlewood Suites was unfortunately riddled with issues from start to finish. To begin with, my reservation was specifically for a king bed, yet the hotel failed to honor it and instead assigned me a room with two double beds. No explanation, no apology — just a clear disregard for accuracy and guest expectations.
The problems continued once I entered the room. The blinds would not fully close, leaving the space exposed to outside lighting and compromising both comfort and privacy. For a brand that caters to extended-stay travelers, such a basic oversight is unacceptable.
Noise throughout the property made the stay even more unpleasant. Whether due to thin walls or poor management of common areas, the constant disruptions made getting any rest nearly impossible.
Parking was another headache. Despite arriving at a reasonable time, there were no available parking spaces, forcing me to circle repeatedly and ultimately settle for a distant spot.
Overall, Candlewood Suites failed to deliver even the fundamental elements of a comfortable hotel experience. Between the incorrect room assignment, malfunctioning blinds, excessive noise, and inadequate parking, this stay was deeply disappointing. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this location to other travelers.
