Price was good, but room was a challenge.

The location was great, the bed was clean and comfortable and we appreciated the fridge and microwave. However, the tub didn’t drain so we stood in calf-deep water while showering. The room was hot and we couldn't figure out how the heater worked. There was a coffee maker, but only enough regular coffee for one cup.

Ventura Motel - yikes!

We were told on arrival that they had NOT been paid for the night even though I had the receipt in my hand. I had to contact hotels.com to correct the situation, but even then, they continued to claim they were not paid. We had to deal with the manager at least 3 times before the problem was resolved (we think - because we were never informed that it had been).

Please update property

This hotel is not supposed to be five star, but it could use an update….for example, the stairs to the second floor, could use a fresh coat of paint, there was paint flacking and chipping off the steps….the fitted sheet doesn’t fit the mattress. Found a used can behind microwave….but, it was quite, which is important to me…the room was spacious in size.

Stay somewhere ekse

The place is very old and needs so much attention. Liked staying at a low budget hotel with exorbitant prices. Hollow core door for outside door. Screen door had missing glass and torn screen. The owner would have blamed us for the screen door but I showed him picture we took upon arrival.

Might be a little better then sleeping in the car

I really hate to leave a bad review but this place is a dump. The floors are dirty the bed sheets and comforter were dirty. I can almost guarantee non of the bedding was washed before we got there. Luckily we had some blankets with us so we were able to put them over the bed so we could at least sleep on it. Like my title says this motel might be a little better then staying in your car but not by much. I would advise to look somewhere else for a hotel.

The carpet was very very dirty. Front door very dirty. Just dirty overall. We had to pray that our sheets were okay.

Tired old motel in a great location

It was fine for an overnight but I wouldn’t come back. The positives: relatively good price for a great location - easy walk to downtown and beach - and the towels were thick. So so: bed was fine and clean, they had a few to go breakfast items (yogurt and sticky buns, coffee and sunny D). Negatives: it’s an older hotel that doesn’t look well kept or super clean inside or out. The fixtures, furniture, and decor were old. Not “cute vintage” old but just old old. Owners were okay, not rude or particularly friendly, said no to checking out 1 hour late. I’d bite the bullet and spend more on a nicer place next time.

Location, location. This is a very old motel that is one block from the beach and one block for town in the other direction. We were in room 26 and both beds were very, very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, with plenty of towels. The only thing I would change would be the old carpeting. They felt damp to your feet but they weren’t. Tile or faux wood floors would make this place a perfect 10.

We liked this spot due to its location, the kid who handled the check in was very nice, the bed was comfortable and it was overall very quiet. The room was very dated, the toilet was a slow flush and the bathroom sink was slow draining.
