A nice clean and quiet room well located for an early morning flight out of the airport. Quick and easy check in with a friendly member of staff. Went a run at 4am before my flight and the local area provided a pleasant route. The pub associated with the rooms looked homely. Thank you

The bar downstairs looks nice and the staff are friendly. The rooms need some new decoration and the lighting that didn't work needs fixing. I was very nervous about locking myself out given there was no staff on site after pub closing. Drinks selection in the room needs checking for out of date packets.

Hotel Closed & Parking Ticket Received
I was not able to check in as the hotel was closed on arrival - despite me confirming a late check-in and arriving before the agreed time. I received a parking ticket from the "free" parking area. I am still trying to clear that. Hotels.com re-booked me in an alternative local hotel. What a nightmare.

Very cool historical building (pub) fit the bill perfectly for a quick overnight. Simple, single bed and bath but it’s all I needed. Great staff and owner. Great value.

The room was very small, dark and dingy. It was very dirty with dust and cobwebs all over the tables and skirting board. The bin was full and there were crumbs in the the unit that holds the tea and coffee - there was no tea or milk and the kettle still had water in it. The mattress was hard and lumpy as was the pillow, the blanket was very thin and the room was very cold - I had to use the towel as an extra blanket. I also came away with 7 bites. I would say it’s the worst room I have ever stayed in and I went backpacking for 2 years!!
