Quite a terrible experience booking both through hotels.com and with the hotel. We were in Ankara to attend two weddings and made a reservation to stay at the Kahya through hotels.com, however the grandmother of one of the brides passed away and we had to check out three days earlier to attend the funeral in Istanbul. Was there any kind of thoughtfulness or consideration from The Kahya or hotels.com? No! They said good riddance, probably rebooked someone into our rooms and couldn’t give a single afterthought. We got no refund, no compensation, not even a “sorry for your loss”. One thing is for certain; we will never stay at The Kahya ever again or use hotels.com. If you’re planning on booking a stay steer away from this hotel and this booking site. Besides, the breakfast was disappointing and the hotel rooms had dirty carpets (so keep your shoes on, unless you want to catch something), and even worse furniture. I’ll include the few pictures I bothered taking.
