Helen to a T

I had stayed before in Helen, but never one of the charming , older ones ! That was this establishment. Right next door to the stellar Bodensee restaurant and the thrilling Alpine coaster. This place rocks. It is clear the care and preservation they put into the property. The breakfast was a great variety of pre packed goodies, and fresh juices. Better than I expected ; The set up was so easy and convenient! I love the cats on the property. It was such a low key and relaxed atmosphere. The lobby looks like the Hufflepuff Common House in the best way! I will always recommend this property to any friends wanting the ultimate Helen experience. The cool, misty mornings at the creek are a reason alone to make the visit.

Nice Stay

Hotel is right off main street. You are close to shopping and the Georgia mountain coaster. We got a premium room. It was nice. Had a balcony overlooking the river. We had a table and chairs in our room and the room was decorated in old German style. Breakfast was continental. Individual packages of Muffins, breakfast burritos, sausage biscuits, yogurt and bagels are what we had a choice of.

Spring Break

Great room, middle of everything. Literally everything was within walking distance. Loved the views. Small glitch with tv but honestly not enough to bother with. Besides, we were there to explore and tire kids out. Overall, great experience.

Great place to stay!

Great location and definitely will stay again. Walking distance to just about everything. No elevator but the stairs weren’t too bad. We were on the 3rd floor over looking the little river with a balcony! Just remember to get/bring towels to the pool they don’t have any there. Parking was great also, we have a truck and sometimes parking is a problem.

This hotel was perfect for our stay in Helen, GA. It was perfectly on theme, you feel transported from the moment you drive up to the property. Everything was immaculately clean. The staff were all so friendly & helpful. The radio alarm in the room next to us went off at 3am. We called front desk and they took care of it within minutes. Coffee and tea available at the lobby all day. The room was spacious, the view was beautiful! The kids loved the hotel. I could go on and on about how great this place was! We will definitely be back!

Helen first timers

The location is perfect. We parked the car upon arrival on Sunday and didn’t move until departure on Wednesday. We chose riverfront and greatly enjoyed the river sounds and breeze. We enjoyed our first trip to Helen. The continental breakfast is very basic ( microwave products ) but the stay was great and location perfect. Once we checked out we went to Unicoi and Anna Ruby falls.

The hotel is really unique with really nice old furniture, unfortunately the bed was a little old (sagging) too. The breakfast was really weird, oatmeal, but no toppings, not even brown sugar. No yogurt. There were some packaged sweet goods and some tiny packaged sausage and biscuit. No fruit. The room was dirty around the edges. Had to hike up quite a set of stairs (not good for my bad knee). There were about 7 cars in the parking lot, with 4 buidings worth of rooms according to the clerk. The town was dead. Not sure why we had the hike. The price we paid, we expected something a little nicer. There were hotels in the area for a lot less, so we thought we were getting a bit more. Very, very disappointing. The description states that it is on the river, the whole town is on the river, so that really wasn't an advantage.
