Great stay in sartell

I realize you can't put the exhaust fans in the bathroom however, maybe some air freshener or some kind of diffuser would be nice. Otherwise an excellent room. Thank you.

Guaranteed Reservation Was Cancelled!

I’m sad to give this hotel a poor rating as I’ve stayed here previously and it’s been wonderful. I had a reservation for 3 nights at this hotel and the room was guaranteed with my credit card. I arrived at 9:30 pm and was told my entire stay had been cancelled and my room had gone to someone else who had requested to stay in that room. The front desk clerk, I believe her name was Jess, was very nice and called the manger but to no resolve. Finally she said she had one room left but it was only for one night and not the room I had reserved. I really just wanted any room so I took it. The next morning I was able to speak with the manager. She took no responsibility for the cancellation and blamed everything on Hotels.com. She said the hotel had been booked for weeks. If that’s true why did they take my reservation and why didn’t they have the courtesy to contact me to let me know they oversold the hotel rooms? It pretty much ended with the manager telling me I was “fortunate” they had a cancellation and I would be able to have the 2nd and 3rd nights of my guaranteed booking. I never received an apology only excuses. I’m happy to see the hotel thriving but their management certainly needs to improve their Customer Service skills! Additionally, they had a sign in the room that beds would not be changed every day but to leave dirty towels on the floor so that maid service would know they were used. During the 2 nights/3 days our room was never given any service :(

Everything was good with the exception of the breakfast. There was no working microwave or toaster. No syrup for the waffles so really nothing except 1 choice of muffins and cold cereal.

They let us check-in a little early which was nice but they didn't have the lights on in the pool area, never came into our room during our stay to check towels or take out trash. We were put in a handicap room and there was no one in our party that is handicap. Breakfast was ok but not very well stocked. It was kid friendly at least

We stayed in a king size suite which in itself was nice, however, with only one chair in the room, it forced one of us to have to lay on bed, as there was no back rest. That was a huge disappointment. Also, breakfasts were promised, but there was absolutely NOTHING ON Saturday, July 3. Which messed up our plans to save money and eat on the run. If it’s van promises, it should be delivered.

We have stayed many times, my family lives in the area and I am from out of state, sometimes it is easier to get a hotel on my visits. It is always clean, easy to get to, employees are friendly.

Disappointing

We we’re not able to get proof of payment at hotel. They took credit card info for incidentals and told me they would provide receipts at check out but said they could not provide zero balance receipt at check out and we’re snarky and rude about it. Also breakfast was abysmal. 3 pkgs of corn flakes . The lady cleaning said they had breakfast sandwiches available, went to the back room and came back and told us they were out. Very disappointing stay.

Excellent Value

Check in was simple and quick. Room was well equipped with refrigerator & freezer and microwave. Bed / pillow / mattress was comfortable.
