I really do not know how to describe this motel. The best I can do is a small comparison. If you would NOT book a Stay at a Motel 6 then you should stay away from the Ashford Motel . The worst Motel 6 I have ever seen is better than the Ashford Motel. The Ashford is priced well above its value.

This is a family owned property .. no smoking up here.. The family is great and deserves all the respect ever as they are a family raising kids on that property.. the rooms are clean and it is really conveniently located right off 84 East .. I ten out of ten recommend

Mostly fine
It’s a roadside motel with no frills. But it had no bugs. wasn’t the worst smelling motel I’ve been to. No big stains or gross things in the room. Suited just fine for a quick nice sleep and a hot shower.

Set on a dead end in Ashford, CT this property is at an advantage for everything. The area is dark in all the right places and the road is a dead end. The Ashford is also set in prime leaf peeping county and has a nice walking spot. (If that’s your thing) The staff is a lovely local couple who will help you with patience and guidance. They were super patient with every question I asked. Ashford has many features and many ways to enjoy the outdoors, including the Nipmuck Trail as well as several preserves managed by Joshua's Trust. Notable properties in town include The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation, and Eastern Connecticut State University's Church Farm Center for the Arts and Sciences. I stay at a lot of Hotels and twenty out of ten recommend the Ashford Motel.

Set on a dead end in Ashford this motel is super quiet. Super quiet means a great rest. Also it is owned by a local family. The family is a delight to do business with and because it is a family property it is super safe. I can say there are a lot of woods and a good road to walk on if this is your thing and the color of the leaves are at their prime right now.. a great leaf peeping spot ( if that is your thing). Come to tiny Ashford to the Motel with the cleanest bathrooms in the area, and super hot water.. Thank you to the bosses once again for your patience and kindness with me, and helping me understand the question I had.
