First-time visiting Oahu and we were super excited to stay here because of all the great reviews. Unfortunately, during our stay, we had to evacuate due to a tsunami warning. I’m not sure if this is standard protocol, but we received no guidance whatsoever—only a printed notice slipped under our door with a blurry map of evacuation zones that hadn’t been updated since 2022.
The hotel is located in a red zone, and in my opinion, they should have provided guests with clearer information and better resources, especially in such a stressful situation for visitors unfamiliar with the area.
Food options on-site are also very limited, with everything around—including their bistro—closing quite early.
Additionally, on our second day, after a long day at the beach, we returned to find that our room keys had been deactivated, even though we still had several days left in our stay. We had to walk all the way back to the front desk to have them reactivated, which was frustrating and inconvenient.
