AVOID THIS HOTEL One of the towels provided had a brown stain that was extremely ugly (doubt it may be undesirable marks, with a bad smell). What's worse is that I discovered it after shower when I was using it. This was unacceptable, especially for an esteemed vacation house like this. When I reported the issue to the front desk during check out, I received no apology and was told that no compensation could be offered because the booking was made through a third party (on Expedia), and the front desk could do nothing about it. He said he would report to the manager, and I received no follow-up. I find this response both unprofessional and disappointing. I also wrote an email to the management team and received no response. The general experience was unpleasant. I hope I can receive proper settlement from the hotel management team.

Extortionately expensive motel-like hotel. Cheap and shoddy and very run down (each time had to barge or kick room door open it was so warped, one bathroom light out, another flickering, windows with broken locks, including one that banged in the wind all night, rotted door to terrace area, missing paint and banged up walls). Rude uninterested staff. A bar that had only one beer on tap, the others all being out, all tables in bar set for breakfast so not ready for use in evening. Charged for breakfast despite being told on arrival it was included with the room rate. Poorly equipped rooms (very few sockets - 2 in fact + 1 for the bedside lamp and clock, no USB ports or charging facilities, no room phone, an AC unit that was just slightly less noisy than and F15 hitting Mach 1, one tiny table with two uncomfortable dinging room chairs, full sized beds that did not comfortably accommodate the four people (2As +2Ks) that it was supposed to, intermittent WiFi, a TV that when it worked cut out sound and pixelated all images about once every two minutes, N.B. the TV also occupied all the space on top of one of the rooms two hard surfaces, excluding the floor, only one bedside table between the two beds had to unplug the clock to plug a laptop in). There were probably other irritations, but my hands have cramped up typing the list so far.

Before booking, we had checked with the hotel regarding the restaurant and bar hours. We were assured that both would be open. Again at check-in we asked about hours. Again, assured both would open at 5:00! At 5:30 when we went to get a drink and appetizer, both were closed and not opening for the evening! We were assigned a room in the “historic” wing! That refers to the fact the rooms need a lot of attention. A Mr. Clean sponge goes a long ways. The person who checked us in was lovely and tried to be helpful. Would we stay there again? Probably not. The $30 amenities fee should be referred to as a parking fee as there were no other amenities provided.

Overall, I love this Inn. We come here every year. The food and adult beverages are great! This year we encountered a negative person working the front desk. She was cold and aloof. She barely looked at us and never smiled. She made us uncomfortable with her disdainful affect. I happened to wave hello walking by and she looked the other way with a sour face ! Ugh

Great view, barely acceptable comfort.

Anyone under like 45 will be okay with the room and facilities for a place of this kind. The older you get the more you'll notice the dirty floor, lumpy bed, horrible pillows, a barely functioning remote. On the plus side, the pool is fun and the view is amazing. And the location can't be beat(unless you want to be closer to center of town, which is a 20 min walk). Overall the next time we'll spend a little more and get something nicer and more comfortable.

I like the position of that property with the ocean view. My husband and I enjoyed coming here, and keep on coming back because of the sunrise and the sunset. It’s a very special place to us. We are both sun chasers and we enjoy watching the explosions of colors that come on the horizon every day. Wishing that one of the receptionist was more welcoming. The majority of the staff were very friendly. One definitely needs to see a smiley and inviting face at the front desk to check in and out.That wasn’t the case for us

Room for improvement

-Minor mold issue in the bathroom. -Sand on the ground near the back door. -Absence of security or overnight staff to retrieve replacement keys. My partner inadvertently left his key behind, he was locked out of the room for hours.

I like what the provincetown inn has to offer, spacious rooms compared to the bnbs of ptown, though of course it's more dated than the bnbs. The downside is that the staff at the front desk tend to be rude and dismissive, particularly if you've booked with a 3rd party like hotels.com instead of using their website, which is of course, always offering the most expensive rates. In general, the rooms I've stayed in have been decent, except when I've been put in a first floor room that has rooms above it. You can hear everything from the people stomping around upstairs and the front desk people simply shrug their shoulders.
