Clean nice place to stay. Only complaint is that at 8:30am there was no breakfast left and we were told it would not be refilled even though breakfast ends at 9:00

I would have gave 5 stars, but cannot. The reason being is due to the morning desk staff. The lady at he counter acted like it was below her to get out of the chair in the office to help us. When she did, she was very rude to us because we were making her do her job. The afternoon staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant.

Very clean room. All staff we came into contact with were very helpful and friendly. Carolyn is outstanding! Parking a large pickup was a little difficult due to construction containers stored in the parking lot in front of the rooms. Definitely will stay again next time we’re in town.

For a mid-level hotel, this one's fairly average. My initial encounter with an older woman at the front desk wasn't that great. She seemed really put out that I arrived at 2:30 to the point of rolling her eyes at me. I knew check-in was at 4pm, but often rooms are ready ahead of time, so I was just checking to see if that was the case. She also seemed miffed that I booked thru Hotels.com. When I walked out, I thought perhaps this woman shouldn't be working in customer service! Certainly not as the first person the public meets. When I checked in, my room didn't have any coffee cups & the coffeemaker hadn't been cleaned, nor was there a bag in the ice bucket. These were amended the following day, without me pointing them out. Other than that, the room seemed clean. I had to run the fan continuously because otherwise, every time the a/c shut off it made a super loud squeaky hinge sound, like a door from a haunted house! The toilet & sink are so low they're awkward, and I'm only 5' tall, so I'd hate to see anyone taller using them. There's NO soundproofing at all & you hear everything from the neighbors. Breakfast is lame. I didn't even bother after the first morning. The woman that works in the breakfast area was VERY friendly though, as was the younger woman who I encountered the first morning at the front desk.

disappointed that hotel could not provide early check-in causing me problems despite advance request. Front desk seemed unconcerned and unwilling to assist. Needed 2:00. Shouldn’t have been a big deal given advance request. No storage room for luggage at reception. Otherwise a good stay and convenient location. Value to price was so-so.

The free my desk person was terrible and wouldn’t speak to the possibility of an early check in, less than two hours before checkin. I asked nicely, but she lied about there being a room ready and insisted that she would know until after 4:00. She also said I could check in early for an extra $40… so obviously there were rooms available The hotel wasn’t full or busy. She shouted at me to “get out” and said she would call the police if I didn’t leave. My wife and I felt very uncomfortable with staying there and booked a different hotel a few miles away and were able to check in immediately. I asked to cancel the reservation and she said she already had charged my card. I complained to Best Western and Hotels.com and was charged for the room even though I didn’t stay and have not received any feedback from anyone. We had booked 4 nights and haven’t been contacted by anyone about this terrible experience.

It's a motel, not a hotel. We asked for a 2nd floor window and they charged $10 extra for it! Lots of construction next door and large construction equipment blocking the view we paid extra for! Not worth the cost.

From check-in to check-out the service was great! Room was very clean and comfortable for our long weekend stay. We enjoyed the views just wished it was warmer to sit in the rocking chairs right outside our door and have our morning coffee or evening coffee. So many things to do and see. We chose to eat at local places to help with local economy after the Hurricane affected so many. A walmart is just over the hill as well as so many wonderful places. We ate at Clyde's (long time family diner) and decided next time to share a plate as portions are huge. Downtown was fun to explore as well. Small scale Gatlinburg is what it reminded us of. More our speed. We enjoyed the 2 exhibits at the Museum of the Cherokee People. Need to explore the river/park area though next time. Went to our 1st gun and knife show. Learned to take cash. Went to 1 antique store. A LOT of stuff and will check out another next time. Saw snow tubing area with lots of families enjoying the opportunity. Drive up and back was a nice drive. We will be back and recommend this hotel highly!

This an average budget level motel (doors open to parking lot). Area appears generally safe. Off main highway, road entrance in need of repair; parking lot generally clean. The first room had a definite smoke and mildew odor, but staff was accommodating in assigning a new room.
