The toilet was clogged when we arrived. We notified front desk and didn’t return for 4+ hours. Toilet had not been addressed at all. Front desk gave us a plunger and we fixed it ourselves. There was an ice bucket and coffee maker and no cups. The tub had a large roach in it and there was a stink bug on the pillow when we were ready to turn in. I have pictures of the insects. Apparently the bugs are not a surprise as there was an ant trap in the bathroom. Only one keycard worked. We went to the adjacent restaurant at 9:15 and ordered a meal The music was extremely loud and no lights were turned on in our area (which was separate from the bar/club area). So we ate in the dark. This was absolutely the worst and dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed

The first room they put me in was dirty and it smelled awful. Then i had a roach crawl out from behind the tv!!!! They did however make it right by putting me in a much nicer and cleaner room.

Are experience with the staff that we dealt with was completely unacceptable, and we are going to ask for a complete refund in full. Our purpose for booking this hotel was to attend an event in Weston WV that started at 11:30 pm the day before to request an early check in because we were traveling from northern Virgina and the trip was about 5 hours to the hotel. So when i called asking for an eatly check in, we were told that woild be ok, and that we could arrive as early as 11:30 am for our reservation date of the following day. When we arrive at 12:45 pm on the day of our reservation, the upper middle aged blound haired receptionist asked me if i had a reservation, asked me for my ID, and informed me the check in was at 3:00 pm, but they did have clean rooms available for us to checknin early for an additional charge of 30 dollars. I then went on to ask if they had anything on hotels.com mentioning this? They did not. The person i spoke to the day before made now mention of this. There was no signage to be found anywhere on site mentioning this, and we have been checking in and out of hotels nation wide for over twenty years, and have never been asked for an additional fee to check in early ,or late. The lady was very unprofessional and done right rude as an individual, not to mention an employee in the hospitality industry. We had a great stay. We were attending a ghost hunt at Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum and needed a place close by to sleep for a few hours. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The Weston Bar and Grill restaurant was a quick walk across the parking lot. Our meal was delicious! I just had a burger w fries but it was hot and juicy. My friend had a chicken Quesadilla w rice for a side and she said it was the best Quesadilla she ever had. The rice was also good. I can highly recommend this hotel amd restaurant.

The bed was clean. Issues with two spider webs in the interior overlooking the bed. These were not new webs. Sheetrock under our vanity was gone and exposed interior of the wall. Who knows what lives there. Door needs to be replaced.

Front desk staff was excellent. She was very friendly and pleasant. We arrived at night so things look different however in the morning realized it wasn't too bad at all. We felt safe however it didn't seem too clean on the outside. We were pleasantly surprised how clean our room was when we go into it. It was quite clean and the beds were comfortable. We did not eat breakfast, we didn't want to leave our dogs alone but we did get a peak and it looked good. There is a Dunkin right next door. We stayed 1 night and it worked for us.

Do Not Recommend

TV was broken , tried to call front desk no answer, went to front desk no one was there. But the worst part was while sitting on the bed a spider the size of a silver dollar jumped into my leg! I’m terrified of spiders so needless to say was not a good experience!!!

Needs improvement

This review is tough bc I didn'thate it. 2 queens cost 99.00. The place is old and not visual very nice-inside & out. The toilet is for an umpa lumpa, but the toilet paper is high quality! They did update paint and bedding. Shower was clean, but looked disgusting due to age. When you walked on the entrance ceramic tiles, they made noises and moved slightly. Pillows were nice and beds were a 7/10, which shocked me. Staff was friendly, but I think they need to put some money into it to rate ot a 4 or 5. I'd probably stay herecagain, but not with my family.

Filthy

We checked in and went to the room that was in the back of hotel. Upon entering it smelled moldy. Dead bugs on the floor,blood stains on the carpet,the sheets were dirty(looked like they'd just made up the bed from previous occupants) now I'm trying to get a refund from my travel insurance. Nasty place!

We have stayed here every Labor Day weekend for the past 20 years , this year was different. The tub was filthy and the room smelled musty. The breakfast was not even half of what it used to be and the grounds look unkept. Other family and friends actually cancelled their stay and went down to Hampton Inn after walking in the room and turning around and leaving. Please take some time and effort and clean up . Wish I could get money back for the night stay times 2 rooms.

This was the worst place I have ever stayed. Room was dark, dingy and dirty. Smell of urine in bathroom and on carpet. By the time you finish with a shower you are standing in water up to your ankles. There were bugs in the window sill. A grasshopper was on the pillow. Room was located across parking lot near the bar. Was noisy all night and people milling around smoking. Door of room had a gap at the bottom of about an inch so smoke from smokers drifted into room. Had to put a rolled up towel over gap to keep smoke out. Door knob to bathroom was fallen off the door. There was food on the floor by bed. If you care about your health and safety Do Not stay here. Have plenty of pictures of the condition of room. Told desk clerk about it when checking out. She said she would tell manager to call us. It’s been a week and have not heard anything from manager.
