Let me preface this review by stating, for 30 years, I have worked in and managed fine, dining establishments all over the country.
So I know a thing or 2 about offering guests top-notch customer service. I know I’m also wise enough to know, that in any of those establishments we have admitted making an egregious error, in the sum of nearly $800, I know that it is best for the brand to offer that guest some form of compensation, whether that be a gift certificate to their restaurant, or the offer of a free nights accommodation on my next visit to emphasize their regret in making such an egregious mistake. NOPE Not at the Adrift Hotel! Upon checking out, the front desk staff not only charged my credit card twice, they also charged my personal checking account debit card nearly $800 for two nights stay. and don’t even get me started on the outrageous prices. Check out the photo of the $250 per night “partial ocean view” queen roomI was assigned. The only view of the ocean you could expect was perhaps seeing it reflected on the neighboring hotel’s windows I just got off the phone with the hotel’s manager to express my dissatisfaction and all she could say was “sir, I’m sorry. We do admit we made a mistake. But we are addressing that with the front desk staff. That’s all we’re able to offer you.” This place is nothing but a below average Motel 6 it has been remodeled using empty wooden storage crates nailed to the wall in lieu of a dresser with drawers. Steer clear. Zero stars.
