My son and I have stayed here or the adjacent hotel, Waterbird, on our ur way to and from Des Moines for the past four years and there is a reason we keep coming back. The place is great! The staff is always courteous and prompt at check in and the accommodations are super comfortable. We highly recommend for your stay in Chesterton.

Very good for Indiana dunes but pricey.

Right near the interstate & not far from Indiana Dunes & food choices. Not cheap however, I’d say it’s a $30 cheaper accommodation. Gorgeous views of the lake the property sits on. Large rooms, no elevators though & very wide hallways. Only found 1 ice machine but these are things I just noticed & had little to no effect on our stay. Pleasant staff. Breakfast area was a bit rundown - I had no issues with the food choices. Didn’t get a chance to use the indoor pool.

Terrible stay for 300$

No working ac it didn’t maintain the room temp … the bath didn’t plug so my kids couldn’t take a bath no working phone to call down and the pull out bed was old no bedding on it we had to put on ourselves and springs were in my kids backs

Glad it was only 1 night

The staff were very kind and hard working. Our hotel room faced the parking lot. I have seen the lake facing rooms and those are nicer. We were on the bottom floor, the air conditioner was not in working order. It turned off and on randomly, no fan to drown out noise from upstairs. It was very difficult to sleep. The front desk staff apologized, but they had a full hotel and no box fans. The breakfast was great with many options. Pool was good temperature but some pipes seemed held together by duct tape. It was not very clean.

Hidden Gem!

This place is truly a hidden gem!! I was passing through with my daughter and just needed a safe not expensive comfortable place to stay for the night. I saw this place online and thought it had to be too good to be true. I was so relieved after getting here after a long day of driving. I wish we had more time to actually enjoy this lovely hotel! We will definitely return in our next trip back! So charming and beautiful!

Setting on the small lake with birds is very pretty. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Late breakfast hour was crowded with few food choices left. Note there is no elevator for upper floor.

Wonderful hotel!

Lots of options at breakfast! Eggs, sausage, waffle bar, yogurt bar, cereal, muffins, toast, fruit, juices, and coffee! When there was a line for the waffle maker, the lady running the food service area was making them for people in the back on another machine. Service was amazing! The beds were comfortable and clean.

It was fine. Probably wouldn’t choose it again.

This hotel was ok. Not the worst I’ve stayed at and not the best. Front desk seemed frazzled. While the room was mostly clean, there were cigarette butts left on the patio. It was walking distance to several eateries which was helpful.

Nice stay for the money, great location.

A nice hotel. Situated on a small inland lake that is beautiful. I’ve been going around this area all my life and this has been one of those hotels that have always been there. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. For an older building, they’ve kept it as clean as they possibly could. Where it’s located is easy if you’re bringing your dog or have kids as every unit has either a patio or balcony. Overall, a nice day, however, the rooms and carpeting, etc. need a facelift. For the money it was more than just fine.
