Would definitely go back, but some issues

First the good! The bellhops Amazing! The entertainment group are great, Tania was amazing at the rifle shooting and casino night, Fernando is the BEST waiter of all! All of the activities are fun and well put together. The bartenders keeps the drink coming and they are mixed well. The room was comfortable and clean with the BEST a/c ever! Rodeo is the best restaurant with big DELICIOUS portions! The wildlife is so COOL, caoti, raccoons, iguanas, and 2 cute black cats! Now the not so good. The lobby staff is not great, when you arrive there are 3 staff but only 2 are helping. We did an off site excursion and were told we would get box lunches, due to our leave time the Buffett is not open early, we spoke to the concierge he wrote down 4 boxes at 6:00 am, we got up went to the lobby to get are boxes and the not so kind check in person told us we don’t have them you should have gotten a ticket. We spoke to 3 people the day before about getting the lunches and not 1 person told us about a ticket. The food is not great, and food is not readily available during the day. The Buffett is open all day but you can only get food food during the designated times, the have a “snack time” but it was just hamburger, hot dogs and fries. I would like to be able to have fruit at snack time. Also the activities are fun but it is hard to find out where they are located, and some you have to sign up in advance but it’s not written anywhere.

Highly recommend with minor service tweaks

Overall Experience: We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it. The food and beverages met our expectations, we really enjoyed them. We also appreciated that most of the dining restaurants didn’t require reservations, which made things more convenient. Vibe: The resort offers the best of both worlds, you can enjoy a quiet, relaxing atmosphere or a more dynamic, lively experience, all within the same property. Area for Improvement: Customer-oriented service could be enhanced. ie, bartenders seemed hesitant to offer drink suggestions or engage with guest questions, and hosts at dinning restaurants could be more welcoming for a better service experience. Special Shout-Out: Kudos to the bellboys and the spa team for their outstanding service!

Everything was great! Id definitely stay there again. The only thing that was disappointing was the beach. There was a storm a few days before our arrival and made the beach have ALOT of seaweed therefore making the beach smell gross and unsuitable to swim. Other then that. It was great.

This is a great property. 2 big pools with swim up bars and multiple pools that are with the swim out rooms although everyone can swim there. The food is great. Men must wear long pants. Reservation’s are not needed except for the teppanyaki. They had a buffet, a steakhouse grill, Italian, Japanese, and a gourmet restaurant. They have a small taco stand by the big pool and a snack bar burger grill by the ocean. And 24 hour room service. Activities include paddle boarding in a pool type lagoon, archery or rifle shooting class. I think they have some ocean sports but we didn’t do any of that because there was too much seaweed. You also get access to the larger resort next door and they have great restaurants too. Reservations are required and you can make them with the concierge. We have been to a lot of resorts in playa del Carmen and Cancun and this was our favorite. We loved it. We spent 14 days and met lots of great people. The staff is top notch. They really take care of you. Thank you Platinum Princess for a great vacation!

I like the property, however there were barely smoking areas. If there going to be designated smoking areas. This need to be located everywhere with comfortable seating. This was an all adult resort with majority of everything outside. And you wasn’t able to smoke. For that reason I may not be returning.

The property and buildings are nice and modern. The rooms are nice, but the room was not as cleans as it should have been when I checked in. The staff had to come and clean it a second time. Another thing I didn’t like about the resort is the restaurant options as well as the dress code for dinner. They are really strict about men wearing long pants, no matter how hot it is. Casual shorts should be acceptable. And during the day, the only food options are the buffet and a small taco stand next to the main pool. You can take a walk to the sister hotel next door to get food, but that shouldn’t have to be. This is also the ONLY all inclusive resort I’ve ever been to that charges to restock the mini bar, which is ridiculous! I’ve been wanting to go to this resort for 6 years now, and I will never go back again. I’ve been to way better resorts.

The breakfast buffet was ok, but could of used some change ups, same dry hard pancakes each day. Bigger desserts, more like two bites. Spa was very tricky about how they offered a free hydro treatment, but then take you fdirectly to a massage and charge $158 to your room. They tricked my daughter on her birthday, saying it was a birthday gift to her, and at check out, she had to pay for it.

The resort was amazing, the food was great and the rooms were a little outdated but very clean and doesn’t smell. But the BEACH on the other hand was awful, so many big rocks you can’t even go in without the swimming shoes and even with those it was painful I had many little cuts on my feet. The seaweed was even worse, we go to Mexico to be on the beach but sadly we weren’t able to enjoy it! It was smelling bad and the rocks were horrible. If you’re looking to go swim at the beach I’d stay away from this resort, if you’re okay with the pool then it’s a great one!
