The sink drain was not working properly, and the water flow was sparse. There was no drain plug for the bathtub. The room was clean, but standard amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and carpet were missing. Many of the cable TV channels had not been paid for and were unavailable.
Around 9 AM, somebody who did not announce themselves attempted three or four times to open my hotel room and enter. When I yelled at them to go away and to stop bothering me, someone asked me if I was supposed to be in that room. I told them that I was registered in the room and that I was not yet checking out. (Check out time was 11 AM.) As I was leaving, the manager came to me to explain that the staff had not properly registered the room in my name and so the morning staff was confused. I was glad he was trying to clarify the situation, but I told him that it was completely unacceptable for people to try to enter the room unannounced when it was obviously locked and a guest was still using the room. Very unprofessional behavior.
