Excellent location
The hotel should print instructions in other languages and explain how to use the thermostat and how to open/close skylights. Instructions - if they exist - are in German, and the little pictures on what appears to be the thermostat (?) are incomprehensible.

Edinburgh break
Excellent location right next to Waverly station,have stopped before and would probably stop again due to its location. Room was a little small and spartan but was lovely and clean,only had a shower and the towels were very small. Had kettle and tea and coffee gear but only used cheap nasty paper cups.

We always stay in motel 1 when visiting Edinburgh as it is so central to the city centre. Motel 1 u need to teach certain bar staff how to greet people 1 guy in particular not friendly no chat just seem rude and when u didn’t leave a tip he would have torn the debit bill from the card machine aggressively no manner that’s y no tip was left.

Liked it - would definitely book again.
The hotel room was a bit spartan, but the bed was comfortable enough, it was clean, and the basics all covered. The location is amazing though. Right by Waverley Station, perfect for buses to the airport, taxi rank very close. I can easily see myself staying there again. The only issue was the bedroom was overly hot and the window wouldn’t open sufficiently to ventilate it as much as I’d have liked. The price was very good as well.

Excellent location.
Hotellet ligger väldigt bra placerat mitt emellan Old town och New town, och väldigt nära flygbussarna på Waverly bridge, vilket är skönt för det är en stad med mycket backar. Det var skönt att slippa släpa sin resväska upp och ner för gatorna. Och allt ligger inom promenadavstånd. High street är väldigt turistigt, även på en grå dag i januari. Men är man väl beredd på det så är det mysigt på sitt sett. Missa inte Edinburgh Castle. Traditionell livemusik kan hittas på Waverly bar på söndagar 3.30 pm.

Great for Edinburgh city centre
Have stayed in motel one hotels before. This one was in a great location on the edge of the old town and yet very handy to the new town. It is a budget hotel but cannot fault it for value for money. Would stay there again
