Not maintained well enough, mildew
The hotel room had a slightly musty smell. Throughout my stay I found several places where there looked to be mildew, especially in the bathroom. Lack of maintainence was clear by looking at the shower head which was full of calcifications and black stuff, likely never given a deep clean. I feel like small stuff like this requires little effort. Towels and sheets were also normally slightly stained, likely still clean and not hazardous, but it doesn’t look very inviting.

“Une expérience authentique : une chambre au style d’époque (probablement l’époque où elle a été rénovée pour la dernière fois), un personnel si passionné par leur téléphone qu’on se demandait si notre présence était une interruption. Et pour couronner le tout, des petits compagnons surprises dans les bagages : les puces de lit, parfait souvenir d’un séjour… mémorable. Un hôtel qui sait marquer les esprits, et les peaux !”

No Internet or elevator, run down rooms.
The Internet and the elevator weren't working. The shower was clogging. The rooms were dusty and small. I don't understand the high rating for this place.

Mysigt hotell. Personalen var väldigt trevlig och alltid hjälpsam med råd för saker att hitta på och gav en olika alternativ i olika prisklasser. Hotellet var lite slitet. Väldigt lyhört. Frukosten var under all kritik, de använde verkligen de billigaste råvarorna vilket märktes tydligt. Man fick välja mellan olika rätter men portionerna var extremt små. Ville man ha mer fick man betala.

Love La pasion
Great location. Near the beach, 5th ave, Ado bus drop off or departure, Walmart!! And, lots of inexpensive local taco stands or restaurants. Dona Paula’s for Pozole, honestly it’s like your mom is cooking…great soup and inexpensive, large with trimmings…& $110 peso…. Soooooo good. Love the hotel front desk staff, warm, welcoming and just really nice. This is a very comfortable, typical mexican, older place, to stay.

Best bang for your buck
Short walk to the action and many great restaurants in the area. Quiet, AC worked great, clean, beds were comfortable and Conrad and staff were super helpful. Water pressure is great and water is actually hot. Only con is that there are alot of stairs to get to room and rooftop pool. Would recommend to anyone that needs a basic quiet stay.

Luv La Pasion
I have been coming here on and off for 15 years. Yes, many services have changed from what they used to offer, however, the staff has always been terrific and a pleasure to deal with and they are one of the main reasons I keep going back. The location is fabulous, 2 min walk from 5th ave, clubs or bars with live music or from local cheap, tasty restaurants, one of my favourites, El Fogon for tacos El Pastor. Dona Paula’s for her pozole soup, omg…so good! There is also a new taco place El Nero right beside the hotel. I did not try it but it was busy every night and really….so convenient. This place is simple, down to earth, cute balcony’s pool side to contemplate life, overlooking to small pools with overgrown vegetation…. I mean luv it , and an adorable house cat that picks her own pool side chair, depending on her mood…. Depending on the room you get, sometimes the water in the shower is “cool” as opposed to hot. I’ve been a single traveller my last few visits but have always felt safe staying here on my own. This is one of my favourite hotels.

Fantastic Hotel
Cannot say enough good things about this Hotel and its staff. It was clean and the Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location cannot be beat as it is blocks from the beach and in the heart of town. I for one will definitely return.

Cute little boutique hotel. Very central. Opposite is a main square with foodstalls in the weekend, and they tend to play loud music there as well.
