I have stayed at The Bernic a number of times over several years and considered it my "first choice" for a place to stay in NYC when there on business or pleasure. This was my first visit since the pandemic. The staff was courteous. I was very unhappy that there is no daily service for the rooms. Five nights, to attention to my room whatsoever. When I needed additional towels I had to go search for them myself and "steal them" from the service cart. I know that several hotel chains are cutting back on daily service of the rooms, Given what they charge, that's ridiculous. In the future, I will not patronize any property that charges full fare and does not include daily servicing of the room. I ma paying for a hotel, not a dorm room, hostel, or summer camp!
