Great Little Hotel

A charming hotel in the heart of Old San Juan. My room was spotlessly clean and featured an improbably large walk-in shower. The location could not be better; all historic sites and restaurants are within easy walking distance. But take some time to just sit in the lobby and enjoy being in Old San Juan.

Well located and confortable beds but some noisy r

I payed for the 2nd teer of cheaper rooms because the grade was 9.4. I got a corner room that was next to the bar, and to a table in the reception. I was awaken at midnight due to guests coming back to the hotel, and speaking loudly. Because the windows are originals from the spaniards, we could hear everything. There was a bit of mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, and there was water in the bathroom after heavy rains. Shower was great, and newly renewed. No toilet paper when we got there, so my wife went out to reception to get it. Beds were comfortable. The TV was hard to operate. Too expensive for the confort we got.

Location, friendly helpful staff. The front desk girls were awesome, super helpful and nice. Beautiful building. The elevator was creepy and no air so not helpful for claustrophobic folks but other than that everything else was awesome.

Originally booked a place that was awful. Chose to book La Terazza last minute because we needed a Bette to lace to stay. We were blown away. Wish I had stayed my entire trip here. Looking forward to going back and will ONLY stay here

Boutique in the heart of Old San Juan

Enjoyed beating the heat in the room after strolling Old San Juan, and soaking in the small rooftop pool. Comfortable beds. My ground-floor room was effected by noise from the on-property bar; don't know if that would be an issue for upper-floor rooms. Good location!

Considering this is such an old building in a very old area, we loved this hotel. There is deterioration, to be expected, but everything was clean and the bathroom was newly updated. We didn’t spend much time there, other than to sleep, shower, and have breakfast one day, but the location to experience Old San Juan was perfect. Parking is a hassle everywhere in Old San Juan, but we found parking at La Puntilla (recommended by the front desk receptionist) to be perfect. Only $3-5 every time you left. The bad reviews made me hesitant to stay here, but we couldn’t have been happier. There was plenty of hot water in the shower, the room was perfectly cool, and everyone was friendly. We consider ourselves travelers, not tourists, so if you’re looking for something upscale and fancy, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a comfortable place to stay while exploring the culture of Puerto Rico, stay here.

Wonderful overall. First night, ac unit didn’t work I just figured that we got there later in the afternoon and it was muggy. It wasn’t until the morning that it just never cooled enough. I just happened to get a room that had a leaky ac unit. It was fixed the first time within mins when i mentioned to housekeeping. It did start leaking a few days later. I mentioned the front desk on my last day since the ac unit was cooling the rest of the time.
