The Motel One was a good spot to stay in Berlin. The room was good for one person or two close people. It was near a metro stop which was great for getting around the city. It wasn't really near a lot of other things though so depending on what you are there for, plan on adventuring out.

I liked the area and if I were to visit Berlin again, I would stay in this area. I liked that the U Bahn and bus stops are on the doorstep. It was easy to travel all over the city. The area felt very safe. Re the room - The shower was really decent, easy to set and always nice and hot. Though small, the room was perfectly adequate and appeared clean. I really disliked that there were no tea and coffee making facilities. For me that is the deal breaker. I loathe carpet in hotel rooms and this one was a fairly elderly specimen. Hardwood flooring would be more hygienic. I appreciate this was a German hotel but the lack of international tv channels was surprising. The only English one was Sky 'news', and I could not locate any French or Dutch channels either. Fortunately, the Wifi is good. Dont be fooled by the 'city view'. My room looked directly in to about 100 living rooms in a tower block and conversely they looked into the hotel rooms which have no privacy unless you want to shut the curtains during daylight. Apart from the barman, who was chatty and friendly, the staff were not unpleasant but not very welcoming either. I had breakfast one morning. It was fine but over priced. Fortunately, there is a very good bakery and cafe across the road where you can have a nice breakfast for a fraction of the price. All in all, it was a clean, safe place for a reasonable price but would I return? Probably not.

Un buen hotel en todos los aspectos!!

Hotel ideal para turismo ya que está a 5-10 minutos andando a la isla de los museos y la catedral de Berlín y a 10-15 De la Torre de Alexander Platz y a unos 20-25 andando a la puerta de Brandeburgo. Para trabajo está también muy bien ya que si prefieres trabajar desde el hotel incluso puedes hacerlo fuera de la habitación en cualquiera de las mesas de trabajo en el hall de entrada. La recepción funciona 24h y el personal es muy amable, atento y eficiente. La limpieza es diaria, si así lo prefieres y la habitación y el baño están muy limpios!! Mi habitación daba a la Leipziger Str. Una gran avenida y a pesar del tráfico, en la habitación no se escuchaba nada lo cual era perfecto tener la vista de la gran ciudad y a la vez tranquilidad en la habitación!! El desayuno estaba correcto y podías sentarte en una gran variedad de mesas y sillas/sillones que forman parte de la decoración. Un diez a la decoración del hall de entrada que es muy acogedora y te inspira tomar algo allí solo por disfrutar del ambiente. Yo vuelvo a este hotel!!
