Good area. Nice sized room. Friendly staff. But several issues. Upon check in there were more hairs in the bathroom than I've seen in a long time at a hotel. Visible mold in the shower. Almost no hot water in the shower the first morning then absolutely none the next. Uncomfortable bed. Cigarette burns on furniture. Weak wifi. Streak through the tv screen. I like to support local non-corporate businesses but this place is not up to snuff and my experience didn't match others.

The sink in the bathroom was very slow in draining. And while it drained, black debris would float out of the drain. There was an empty k-cup in the coffee maker. None of the 3 ports to plug in my watch and tablet worked. The drawers on the one and only dresser were very hard to open. The staff was very polite and the breakfast was great. These things, in my opinion, are minor but...

Will stay at again

Mattress was uncomfortable, you could feel the springs. Bath towels were like sandpaper that were in the room, I went downstairs and got a fresh set and they were great. Breakfast was ho-hum compared to the Red Roof Inn at spots I stayed at. Everything else was great and will stay at again next year. Parking was tight, note that there is a upper lot with more spots (right next to the gas station).

Good stay

Good place. We just needed a king bed but we got a kitchenette king. It a bit dated but very will worth it. We only had one thing was dog barking in other room. But it is a pet friendly place. Food was ok. Muffins were awesome.. We wanted to take a couple they were so good. But We didn’t take advantage of them.

Breakfast: more than expected

We were pleasantly surprised when bacon, eggs, and fried potatoes were included with breakfast since it was listed to only have a continental breakfast.

Bark and howl

We had a king suite room. The room itself was fine and had a lot of amenities. The hotel is pet friendly, which we understand, but there were at least two dogs howling and barking most of the night while we tried to sleep. Also, someone, maybe the same room as the dogs, plying music all night long. Needless to say, we did not get much, if any, sleep.

Great place to stay for value and comfort!!

We were in town for my friend’s family & 65th high school reunion. The hotel is reminiscent of a time when the town was alive with industry. It’s clean. The staff is friendly, no weird smells, very nice breakfast, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel does have some “age” related spots but over all it’s a good value (compared to the well known chains in the area) and the noise level was almost non existent! I’d recommend it to anyone who is visiting the area as well as I’d stay here again!!! Very good experience!!!

Comfortable stay

Nice quiet comfortable place to stay while we visited Idlewild park. The also had a good breakfast buffet.

They have what you need for a great price

Inn at Mountain View is a no frills hotels but offers the basic rooms which are clean spacious have a tv, microwave, coffee maker, small fridge, a desk and a chair. The bathrooms are clean and large as well The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is your normal hotel breakfast very satisfying. We have been staying here for years so the beds must be comfortable.

Unfortunately, there were multiple stains on the sheets and bugs in the room and shower. We also were only given one towel, not a big deal, but had to go ask for another. Overall, a general lack of cleanliness.

Not the best.

Not a great experience but stayed for just 1 night. Dates and teeeible smell in hallway. Paper thin walls could hear everything outside. Television did not have sound and front desk would not assist as they said they were only staff on premise. Spent 2 hours trying to get to work and nothing. Floors were dirty and mattress was not comfortable at all.
