Make sure to get a room that is on the backside of the hotel, as it lies at the intersection of two very busy roads and there is traffic noise that permeates the main rooms themselves. There was very little English spoken and a 100 RMB deposit is expected; mine was fully refunded. The rooms are of perfectly fine quality, though they have a problem with the distribution of local "spa" (ahem) pamphlets that they're combatting. The location is excellent with easy access to the Martyrs' Park and the Hunan Museum, but metro stations are a good 10 or 15 minute walk to get to. If you can navigate the local bus system, this is no problem, but they run a phenomenal number of routes. Overall, I was pleased with the choice.
