Return Visit.
Another quick visit to London and The Shakespeare. It's ideal for its convenient location, which is close to Paddington Rail & Tube, with nearby choice of food and drink establishments. The room is small but perfectly suitable for a solo one-night stay, with a good shower and comfortable bed, along with helpful staff.

Avoid if you want a half decent nights sleep!
Wouldn’t advise to stay here if you value a decent nights sleep. Stayed due to a running event however achieved minimal sleep over two evenings. Between a wooden bed frame that creaks loudly every time you twitch a muscle, or noise from surrounding rooms and corridors through paper thin walls & ceilings, trying to get a half decent nights sleep is more than difficult. Both of these things are frustrating but are outshone by the sheer noise volume of the staircases when anyone was travelling up or down a flight of stairs. As expected with all hotel rooms, the cleanliness was up to a decent standard, service on check in was good and staff were accommodating for bag drops due to plans that required getting back out into the city before I could check in. At 6”5 I appreciate I’m not the shortest person in the world and have booked a solo single room for a quick stay but the space in the toilet/shower area was limited, with the sink and pipes underneath preventing a comfortable sitting position on the toilet, not an issue for everyone but certainly annoying for taller folk.

Good location just around the corner from Paddington station. It’s not the ritz but great for a one night stay after a night out. Yes you do hear the underground sometimes but it’s fine.

Great value, great location
Surprisingly spacious room for the price in central London. Good bars and restaurants in the area but a little spoiled by the rubbish bags and homeless people in the vicinity. Nonetheless I would definitely book again as this isn't the hotels fault.

Le bruit du métro mais aussi des voisins, isolation médiocre. Le buffet petit déjeuner non anglais. Il faut payer un supplément pour un petit déjeuner anglais. La salle de bain très étroite ne permet pas de s'habiller sans toucher les murs ou l'évier... accueil plus ou moins agréable selon la personne. Les jeux billard et baby-foot payants pour les clients... le sèche cheveux ne fonctionnait pas...

Hôtel tres bruyant. Bruit du métro des 5h45 en semaine (toute les 3 minutes) vitres et sol qui tremblent. Isolation phonique entre les chambres tres mince. Litterie qui grince et qui est creusée, lit double 1m20 vraiment trop petit. Pas d'eau potable au robinet de la salle de bain. Une fontaine a disposition a la reception. Petit dejeuner anglais et continental super!!!

Centralt läge med bra förbindelse
Äldre hotell med jobbiga trappor vårt rum var inte i bästa skick med man håller på att renovera så kommer nog att bli bättre. Frukosten var enkel med mättande. Enkel att boka rum på nätet. Ligger bra till med förbindelser både buss och tunnelbana. Vi kom från Heathrow och slapp byta för att komma fram till hotellet. Ligger också många restauranger i närheten.

Lovely hotel
We had a lovely time. We went to London to see The cirque du soleil.The hotel is very central and very clean, ideal if you want to stay central with eatery around and a underground a few steps away.We definitely come back. Lovely staff as well.

Underground trains disturb sleep
My small ground floor room was clean and reasonably fresh. But I cannot recommend the hotel, for the rumbling noise and vibrations of regular late night and early morning underground trains is far too disturbing. I booked here for a decent night's sleep which I didn't get.... Aarhh!

Ok hotel for a night
Was ok for one night.. just be for warned there is no elevator and the stairs are steep, uneven and if you go to the top floor the stair case becomes very narrow.. ok for going up with backpack but very difficult with suitcases. Beds were clean and for the most part comfortable.
