Front desk staff on check in was exceptional. Easy on and off the highway to get to the lake. The room was spotless. The breakfast service was disappointing. Both days the coffee was either empty or cold. I grew up working in restaurants- plentiful hot coffee is a basic. I ended up going over to the big Apple Store to get coffee and we all know that gas station coffee just doesn’t cut it.

Hotel is fine. Expedia is NOT. They charged us $90 more that the hotel rate that night. We tried to reserve through Marriott who said they had no availability and Expedia said they did. Little did we know it was at a $90 premium. A chat with Expedia's customer service was just plain useless. We feel taken advantage of mainly by Expedia and partly by Marriott. This whole thing feels like we've been scammed. I hope in the long run, all the negative publicity they get from me is worth their precious extra $90 of profit. Just awful of them.

Front Dest Staff

Front desk staff helped us check in early so we could catch the wedding shuttle on time. So gracious and accomodating. They also helped us choose a spot to grab some lunch...great advice

Friendly staff, spacious room, and close proximity to my business conference. However, my bathroom smelled like mildew and the shower wand didn’t work. The hotel is a bit on the older side than I’m used to, but in a small town like Gilford, it matches the aesthetic. I’ve heard other options aren’t as great, so I will likely end up staying again next year. The staff are very attentive to your needs, though, and I had no other issues with my stay. I would have reported the bathroom issues to them, but I had a tight schedule and it was minor enough that it didn’t really matter to me in the end.
