Just like any other hotel
It was ok but i expected better. The office was a little difficult to find. The showers did not work well...there was barely any hot water and it made a loud high pitch sound during use. There was wood rot on the outside to the point where it had a smell to it. Their onsite restaurant is overpriced and the food is not very good. It was winter time so we didnt experience the pools.

Family Christmas Trip
Our stay was perfect! We played around town, shopped, but mostly enjoyed our family time in our cottage on Ship Lantern street. We can’t wait for our next trip to Stormy Point!

Poor service, poor property condition, sad, awful
The first day we struggled with getting them to fix the wifi and making our tubs hold water they finally came the second day to fix those. The second day we realized the hot water lasted all of 15 mins max before it ran out trying to fill the tub that evening shut it off only to realize hours later there was still no hot water tried reaching someone to het this issue resolved yet there was no resolution offered the third day when we stayed we were not offered any compensation etc and were told because we had completed our stay tough basically so we contacted hotels.com for a partial refund at least we will not be staying at this property ever again!

Great Home near SDC
Such a neat location! Fantastic layout for our family of 5 adults and 2 children. Close to SDC as well! GPS coordinates takes you to another location but a quick phone call got us to the right place. Will definitely stay here again!

My daughter and I took a trip to Missouri for her birthday. She is a big Titanic fan so we came to the museum. The staff gave us other amazing ideas for attractions to see that she at 11 would love! I felt so incredibly safe with it being just her and I there! The town feel of the property was adorable! Great food at the restaurant. They also had a movie out on the patio (we were there close to halloween so we watched Beetlejuice) such fun!

Great place to stay
Stormy Point was a wonderful place to stay. Would definitely stay again. The only downside was that we were unfortunate to have to park where we had to climb stairs to get to our cottage. Also, our fireplace was lame and never worked correctly.

The cottage we stayed in was nice. It was a two story with a large bedroom and bathroom upstairs. There was plenty of room for two adults and two kids. This was the off season, and I have no idea how we ended up in an ADA cottage. I felt like a giant with the low countertops. The only issue we had was the card reader for the front door. In 40 hours on the property, we had to call four times because the card reader wouldn’t work (no light would come on; the cards stayed programmed). We tested it again upon check out, and it wasn’t working again. The reader not working can be a major inconvenience, and they blamed it on the cold weather. Update or upgrade your card readers. We probably would not stay here again because other properties have more amenities, but the cottage was nice.

We have stayed here several times, but this time it was really dirty. The sink had a bad smell, so I had to clean it myself. And it needed a good sweep and mop, very dirty around the base boards. Other than that, we love the cottages and the area.

As you can see from previous reviews, we've stayed at this property many, many times over the years, and while updates are needed, we keep returning because we love the houses so much for their privacy, peace-and-quiet and the added space (two bedrooms and kitchen) they're just so cute! Typically, the staff will accommodate special requests (early check-in, if the until is available and/or a late check-out) etc. Location is perfect in relation to town and SDC! Please note, this is a time share property and when you get your parking pass you will be asked to attend a presentation with a "gift" for your time (show tickets etc). We've attended the presentation, and it isn't for us, but they won't hassle you if you say you aren't interested in attending, and because they don't (hassle you), we'll be back next year!

The cottages at Stormy Point are a hidden gem! It was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends and would be great for longer stays too. The staff are friendly and helpful and checking in/out was very easy. The cottage design is open and provides plenty of room for hanging out or having time to yourself. We loved our stay here and will be back!

Parking and TVs get a Thumbs DOWN
The parking was not good- we had 2 vehicles, but there were no designated parking spots- the neighbors parked right in the middle so as to block the parking for the rest of their party. At one point we had to double park our 2 vehicles and stick out into the road,& we had someone in a wheelchair. If made it very difficult. I left 2 messages at the after hours voicemail because only one of the several TVs in the cottage had a remote and worked, so we were unable to watch tv in any room except one bedroom- nobody ever contacted me back or came to fix the issue
