Our first time in Hawai’i, and this place was one of the highlights of our trip. Surrounded by lush forest and secluded, it was the perfect getaway. The central location on the island allows for east access to everywhere. We will definitely be talking about/recommending the volcano mist cottage to others.

Nice house in the jungle

Cool place with nice amenities if you’re staying up near Kiluehea. The home has a nice gas fireplace and is close enough to restaurants etc

Unique property with a beautiful setting. Right next to the National Park. The hosts were great and even gave me a novel to keep as a wonderful souvenir. We enjoyed the days we spent hiking at the National Park and having this beautiful cottage to come back to ar the end of each day.

Fantastic Romantic Cottage

Tranquility in Hawaiin Rain Forest

We had a wonderful time. It was a delightful cottage in the rain forest. Very private and with a private hot tub outside. Imagine sitting in a hot tub in a rain forest. Truly captivating.

Disappointed....

Property is beautiful, very clean, good directions, only thing was bed. Bedroom is crowded and mattress is not up to what I would have expected. Full or queen, not sure, but we are tall and need more space, king size would be more appropriate. We ended up with one person on futon. Lodge might have been better option.

Beautiful Jungle Seclusion

What a unique spot, total seclusion yet close to the park. Beautiful gardens and flowers throughout. The pictures can't do it justice.

Secluded getaway in the jungle

We only stayed for 3 nights but they were unforgettable. About a mile from volcano park, complete seclusion in the middle of the rain forest, (yet still easily accessible) and the owners have pretty much thought of everything you might need during your stay. We were also given plenty of information of what to do in area. If you like nature and privacy, this was the best getaway imaginable.

Cottage close to Volcano Nat'l Park.

Had long drive from Hilo during rush hour in the pouring rain. Had no problem finding cottage in Volcano. The lights were on and we found the cottage to be very warm and welcoming. There was fruit on the counter and milk for our cereal in the morning. Beautiful rainforest surrounding the cottage. The whole cottage was decorated and felt very zen-like. Enjoyed every minute here and would love to return.

これぞ本当のリゾート！！

一泊目はもう完璧！でも二泊目は１６：３０ごろからハリケーンイゼラのせいで停電（エリア全部）となってしまいました。でもオーナーさんが水のタンクや懐中電灯を３つ用意してくださったおかげでなんとか夜を過ごしました。停電は予想外だったけどそれもいい思い出となりました。翌日ヒロ空港までレンタカーで向かったのですがそれこそ道に何か所も木が倒れていたり水があふれているところがあってそのほうが大変でした、、、。コテージは食糧、調味料なども一通り置いてあり、電気が来ているときはとっても快適なリゾート生活でした。外のジャグジーもとても素敵でしたよ！！

Rainforest Retreat

Lovely cottage in the rainforest. Good size, everything needed for a comfortable stay - kitchen, pantry, linens, hot tub, books, videos, basic cable and Wi-Fi. Very convenient to Volcano Village and the National Park. If you want to spend a few days in the Hilo area, this is the place I would recommend.

一軒家

個人の別荘をコテージとして貸し出しているようなもので、譬えてみればジャングルの中の一軒家。オーナーとも管理人とも一切顔を会わさず、メールで送られてきた暗証番号で鍵の保管箱を開けて入室する。困ったのは、相手が個人なので、不具合が有った時に処置を頼みにくいこと。我々の場合、滅多にないことと思うが、真夜中に火災報知機が多分電池切れを警告する電子音を鳴らせ始めた。30秒に１回、ピッ、と云う音が鳴り響くので眠れない。他の場所に住む管理人を電話で呼び寄せることに躊躇して、何時間か起きていた。結局、勝手に音がやんだ（電圧が警告音を出せないほど低下した?)ので、退出時に注意喚起の置手紙をして出たが、音が止まなかった場合、日曜日でもメンテしてもらえただろうか？

Volcano Mist - Exceptional!

Everything about this place is first class - comfort, amenities, privacy, location, ambience, etc. the owners have a great sense of detail and have forgotten nothing with this beautifully boutique cottage in paradise. Highly recommended!
