Historical building in a great location
Location is superb, walking distance to the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and a metro station. Room was small but it was clean. I do wish they restocked the tea and add tissue. I saw some complained about the elevator but for me it was the best part, very unique, I loved it. Check-in staff was super nice and helpful and the hotel offers free tours around the city!

Great service! We stayed in this hotel for one night after our return to Rome before our flight the next day. A unique building, which we liked. An elegant little hotel in the heart of Rome. Everything was readily accessible to us. The breakfast at the hotel was wonderful, offering everything from eggs, bacon, muesli and yogurt to pastries. The staff are all wonderful too. We hope to return!

The hotel was absolutely incredible from the main entrance which looks like we’re entering a historical building and then transforms to this modern space upon arriving at the reception. The toilet was one of the best I’ve experienced, the bed was incredibly comfortable. Super walkable to all the sites.

Even though one has to take an. Elevator to get to the lobby it was safe. Room a bit small but quiet and comfortable. Intensive shower for European city hotels! Added bonus was the different free walking tours and activities the hotel chain (BZar) organizes. The tour guides (Eliza and Virgilio) were great and since I was traveling solo it was nice to have these daily activities. The front desk person was very friendly and offered me Prosecco or water when I arrived! Nice touch!

We arrived at 10 am from a 12 hour flight. The room wasn't ready until 3 pm. However the staff was friendly and helpful, they keep our luggage and allow us to change clothes. The room was clean. The location is perfect and close to transportation and attractions. There is no outlets to charge cell phones or plug electronics. You need to request an adaptor from the front desk. Overall , we had a great experience and highly recommend The City Palace.

Two problems: 1) the hotel chain emailed me the night before asking for my confirmation number and then saying it did not work, then did not answer subsequent emails. I spent my whole long dinner thinking I had no hotel for the next night but when I called the hotel in the morning they said no problem. 2) When I arrived at check-in-time of 2 p.m., the room was not ready for another 40 minutes. I was very very tired.
