The hotel was nice but the front desk staff was not very helpful or friendly. Our booking agent (Expedia) was happy to give us a better price when they realized our last night (we had to add on due to a storm) had a cheaper option available. They called the front desk and asked them to please cancel the room so we could rebook at the new price and save $100 (for a family with kids in this economy, that means a lot), but the woman at the front desk would not. So, we could not get the deal. We also asked if we could get the breakfast voucher, as I thought I had clicked on it, but either I did not, or the system glitched after I hit enter. Again, there was refusal from the front desk to help in any way, and I was pretty shocked at the lack of curtesy and care shown.
Also, when I realized I would need to book one more night due to the storm and our inability to get home, I asked the front desk woman if we could get another night in our room or any queen room. She said they were all booked, though your website and several others showed them available. She said this was just because they were not updated and I would need a more expensive room. I said ok, fine. 30-40 mins later, I came out to the front desk and she was on the phone. She was telling a customer that she has a queen room available for that night! It wasn’t a saved room, she said, “Let me see what we have left for tonight…. I have a queen room available tonight as well as a king room. Which would you prefer?” Rude!
